how can i mold it over my tooth if there's no tooth there?

It's better to have the stump of a tooth to work with, but it can be done using a space with no tooth - but you have to have teeth on either side of the empty space in order for the tooth you make to fit and mold and hold against something on both sides. Otherwise, don't bother trying, the temp tooth will never stay, it will just fall out because there's nothing to give any tension or pressure against it, which is required to hold it in place. Does the product harden?

Yes it does. You bring water to almost a boil and pour some in a cup. Pour a few granules into the palm of your hand. (I poured too much the first time and you might, too. Adjust it the next time.) Pour the granules in the cup of water. They will expand and group together. Scoop them out with a spoon and roll into a ball in the palm of your hand. Go into the bathroom or to a mirror somewhere and put the ball of dental material into the space where the tooth is missing. It will expand to fit the space. Now shape it with your fingers. You will feel it harden in the space where the tooth was. It's amazing and I love it! Good luck to you!

how long will they (i need 2) stay in ??

They will stay in usually for a day. It is plastic so if you take them out to eat or something similar, ith will loosen and you will find by the end of the day it is loose.

if i put this over my tooth does it come off easily when hardened?

it depends on how tightly you fit the replacement. I've never had a problem, but none of the ones I made just "pop right out" either... you may have to wiggle it a bit. Remember though, this stuff isn't made to cover an entire tooth; you can fit a replacement over a tooth stub, but I don't think it would be what you'd want if you're looking to cap a fully-existing tooth.
