It is a kit which you need to put together yourself (which was the point of getting it). Delivered promptly (ships form China, so adjust your expectations), well packaged and intact. PCB is of high quality, no missing components. Once assembled started working immediately. I will remove one star for not including any documentation at all. Though all components are marked on the PCB itself a schematic sure would be nice. LCD is on top of other components, so make sure to mount them low enough or LDC won't fit. Trimmer resistor adjust the LCD contrast, rotate for the best view. Push button is not symmetrical and needs to be properly oriented.

I finally got around to building this item, as it has been sitting on my shelf for a while.The kit was really easy to build (for me).But, the unit does not work.It does power up, the backlight turns on.But nothing shows up in the display.The 5volts is good on pins 7 and 22/8.Re-checked all the component values / soldering joints / polarity – good.Adjusting the 10k pot (contrast control) doesn’t have any effect on the display, the voltage does change on pin 3 on LCD module.The assemble does auto turn off.Using an oscilloscope-Pins 9 & 10 show the 8Mhz oscillation, (tells me the crystal is working) .Pins 2/3/4/5/6/11 do shows activity (signals).The LED does turns on.I’m a very good solder as I have been soldering since 1974.I know a lot about Electrostatic discharge (ESD).Static sensitive electronic components.I have come to the conclusion the display module is the problem.I would be ok, if just a display module was forwarded to me.

To at least 80mH, inadequate part range to characterize. Capacitors: connected leads; capacitance; ESR. 33pF to 10,000uF and more. Resistors: 50 ohms to 40Meg; above that accuracy suffers. SMD patterns for testing: 1206, 0804, 0603, 0402, SOT23-3 If unable to determine part, reading is: "No, unknown, or damaged part" Readings appear to be 1% or better.

Arrived early and everything intact. Took about 1 - 1/2 hours to put together. No paper docs, but PC board had all parts labeled good. Suggest verify resistors values as the colors were hard to see, but no problem. Started up with no problem. Adjust the only pot on board once screen is up to get focus, clarity on screen. Follow the self help screen to calibrate which is very quick and easy. Pleased that it does so many things. Like the identification of the transistors lead when you don't know what transistor is. This meter kit is great for the price. No instructions were included, but all components are identified on the board markings. I took about a hour to build at an easy pace. The meter can be calibrated by shorting all three measurement points together, pushing the button, removing the shorts when prompted and finally attaching a 100nF or larger capacitor to line 1 and 3 of the measurement points. Not too difficult to assemble and works very well. When I am building circuits, I often use mine for each component just to double check I haven't picked up the wrong item (it's easier to do then you might think). The LCD display helps determine orientation as well.

As a novice starting out I found this kit straight forward with a clearly marked board. I was able to put it together in about two hours. Be sure to test the resistors with an ohm tester rather than reading the markings as they are easy to misread.

Order arrived in two weeks, much sooner than I expected. Also, packed well for shipment. This was my second order with KingSo and Iwas equally pleased with my first order. I may order more of these kits in the near future (a club project) if assembly goes well.
