Different name, same Hitachi quality.
Well built and feels solid. I have dropped it maybe once or twice without having to readjust the configuration. Depth lock works well. Disassembly is pretty simple as is bit swap.Speed control accessibility is nice too. Well placed so you use your thumb to adjust on-the-fly.

Has plenty of power
Have used this for a couple of months for different jobs. Product is easy to work with and has plenty of power for large 1/2 shaft bits. Would recommend it.

Had issues, but manufacturer fixed it
First the bad I bought this router, but then didn't get around to the project I needed it for until a couple months later after it was too late for an Amazon return. Unfortunately there was a defect in the shaft which prevented the bits from sitting straight. As frustrating as this issue was on a new tool, I called the customer support number and was in contact with a very helpful agent who got the router in for a warranty repair without much hassle beyond boxing up the tool and taking it to FedEx.Once I got the tool back it performs exactly as expected, and is an absolute pleasure to use compared to the old Craftsman.So in summary they get dinged for poor initial quality control, but due to their steller support and great performance of the repaired tool, they still get 4 stars.

This is a terrific router at any price.
Purchased "used" like new from Amazon and had to return it. Far from "Like new". Reordered new and it is truly an excellent machine. Soft start and very controllable, flawless results using average cutters and again, the router works like a fine tuned machine. Don't hesitate and to add, I have several Hitachi / Metabo tools and all work well.

The power more than I need!
I don’t understand why Metabo is not popular! But with the spec and price, and even 5 years warranty! I will never go wrong!Already had it for several trial run with different bits. It’s more powerful and much heavier than I thought. It means quality for me!Adjustment and operate is easy, so far I am happy with it!

Great value
Great value in this router - especially if you can catch it on sale. Very powerful and a great size. This gives you a full power router with 1/2 in and 1/4 in collets / capabilities. Would recommend for any beginner woodworker that wants a solid corded router. Will see how it holds up long term.

Price and power bought to do raised panels powers thru material without a problem I need another one for another router setup.
