I bought this unit in advance of a birthday. The recipient hooked it up last on Wednesday and by Friday she could not get the Disc tray to work and it was making high pitched noises. I wanted a multi-disc player with radio for my shop. This system seemed to be exactly what I needed. When I received it, I hooked up the speakers & powered it up. Radio worked but when I loaded up the CDs it would not play them. It might play for a sec & stop, usually it wouldn't play at all. Also the Instruction Manual states that the 1 yr. warranty is valid only in Canada & does not cover products not purchased in Canada. Unless you live in Canada I would not even consider purchasing this item!

I bought this product in 2014 and had to return it the very same day.So, why buy it a second time? The answer is Amazon a to z return policy. I even checked with customer service to make sure it would apply.I like the product despite not having a clock or sleep timer. The tuner easily found all the stations I listen to. Sound quality is very good. The only problem I have had is the size of the main unit. It's big and a little heavy. As I said before the sound is very good with surround sound, base and equalizer. The remote is readable and easy to use. I am still working on using the cd player. But at this time I am planning on keeping it. I have Amazon's a to z guarantee to back up this purchase.

In retrospect, this is not the kind of item to buy on Amazon because it is too expensive to return given the price. We bought it to use primarily for CDs and it skipped constantly even on new ones. We have very solid furniture and floors with no bounce and at any rate, the thing skipped when no one was moving around. The remote is also very tiny making it impractical to use seeing that we couldn't read the thing without a magnifier. The sound is okay and the radio gets good reception. We are going to try to sell it at a yard sale.

A bit difficult to use the radio as the tuner is very small and difficult to see when adjusting it to various stations. That said, it is an inexpensive piece that fits and works where we need it and does the job. Plus the 3 cd player is also nice and works reasonably well. The sound is not high quality but again, it does the job. If you are looking for great sound you would expect to put some money into a purchase of this nature.

This system is designed to accept 6 discs; one of the few complete systems I was able to locate that can do this. Although the price is low, the system functions more that acceptably, Speaker quality is ok, but remember you are getting a multi disc, multi function system for a great price. The first one I ordered didn't work properly, but I returned it and ordered another. This one works fine. Very glad we purchased it.

worse investment for my shop, same problems like reported for another buyers, quit working in 3 days, I tough it was my cd's so I bought new cd's and the problem was the same, but is my fault the item was too ship to be true, I removed from my shop and installed in my garage it works in time to time, sometimes the turn table to end in the right position and that is why won't play any music, easy fix use your hand to align the turning table and disconnect it for 2 or 3 hours it will come back.

With music going electronic/iPad/mp3, it's getting more difficult to find stereo systems that will still let me play my cd's. This fit the bill price-wise and it has the features I was looking for. The only thing I didn't like was the speaker quality. The sound is somewhat tinny and sharp and I'm disappointed about that. We changed the speakers out with another set that we own and we got the sound we wanted. Buy it for the features and get different good-quality speakers.
