I find the drill bit small for #8 screws.Also, if using in softwood, the white plastic washer does mark the wood. I expect that is because of using it in a drill press.... too much pressure.

Have gone through many "collars" for depth stops, etc. Gave up on them with last project and decided to give these a try. YES, they are relatively expensive, but they WORK and are easy to use. Was so tired of many other brands of depth collars and/or countersink bits that you have to fuss with and are "makeshift" at best. This one seems to work really well, easy to adjust the depth and the depth of the countersink.Save a few bucks up to get one or two of these; and, save a LOT of frustration from using the depth collars.Gave the durability and longevity only 4 stars because haven't had these very long. Did see some reports of these having a minor issue or two in that department, but so far, see no reason these should have any issue. Seem very well made.

This a great countersink tool. easily adjustable in both countersink depth and drill bit depth. after messing with low quality countersink tools for years this tool is a pleasure to work with. truly precise and consistent counter sinks every time. it doesn't have ball bearings but a drop of 3 in 1 oil works great on the nylon bearing. I've used it on about 50 screw holes on a small boat hull that I'm building. I have about 50 more to go but I'm sure it will do fine.

The product is good. Disappointed it took 13 days for it to be put in an envelope to ship it.
