They will handle 10A DC as claimed but very warm, 6-8 Amp is a more conservative number.
Good- Using their brand 18 AWG wire, slide it in and I used pliers to close it up. VERY easy and quick. No stripping Small size for projects with space constraints. Basically takes up no more room than the 18 AWG wire itself Universal, you can't end up with more males or females, they are universal. Any two plug into each other Snap together tight, holds together well Bad Not much really, should use their silicone wire if 18 awg is used, they say. It's nice wire with reasonably tough yet flexible insulation and pricing is ok. Testing of capacity using their 18 AWG silicone wires and DC bench supply with dummy load. Cut four 2" each pieces of wire and inserted them into two of their connectors (universal connectors, either can act as female or male) 15A load (under 5 min connect time) - Can take it, connector and wires run hot but no damage over short periods (5% voltage drop over the pair). 10A (rated amps) - runs hot but can finger pinch the connector tight indefinitely (3% voltage drop) 8A - runs warm, you know it's loaded down and if you didn't know it was ok, might be concerning 6A - runs slightly warm (2.5% voltage loss) but feels normal

Worked well with 22 AWG
I worked far too long to try to get these to work with a 26 AWG wire, finally gave up. Then when I tried them with 22 AWG wire, connecting them was a snap! They are a tad flimsy to connect, just have to be careful.

These connectors work great, however …
These connectors work great. They are exactly what I needed. However, they will not work with traditional, multistrand 18 AWG wire. The insulation is too thick to allow insertion in the holes. Although the text description clearly states “for AWG 20-24”, the first illustration says “Fits 24/18 wire”. Perhaps for 18 AWG, that only applies solid wire since that insulation tends to be thin. I needed a way to temporarily disconnect a dual 18 AWG cable. So, I used 20 AWG wire spliced to the 18 AWG, used the connectors and then 20 AWG spliced back to the 18 AWG. Since the current is only 200 mA, the voltage drop is negligible. I am satisfied that this work-around is functioning just fine. Some reviews complained that these connectors are not reusable. That is by design. These are intended to be permanently connected to the wire so that the connectors themselves serve as a removable plug. One needs to be careful when inserting the wire so that it is not crooked inside the connector before squeezing it closed during installation. Otherwise, the electrical connection will not be there. It is a good idea to confirm the integrity of the installation before using the connectors.

Junk!
This is one of those products that could be awesome but the delivery sucks. First of all the material is flimsy so if you have a wire with a slightly thicker plastic you’re going to have trouble getting them in. And you’re going to probably break the little cover as you try to close it shit. The connector don’t clamp on and cut through wire so I decided to wrap these in electrical tape to keep from coming out. The two wires are very close to each other so I’m a little concerned about them shorting are some point… I’m probably going to take things apart and just solder the wires. They do look good. The do connect and disconnect fairly easily. I don’t recommend them for automotive (or in my case motorcycle) applications. Just solder things or use a different product.

Perfect for my needs
I got these for LED diode connectors to my Battery case. I am extremely happy that these are exactly as advertised so to speak. They connect to each other near seamlessly and tight. Putting the wires in was simple and easy and everything worked right away. My only concern is after a bit of use, if I change the wires out that the clip my wear or break. I will just have to wait and see. But for the price, I don't think I am going to worry about it.

Works ok with easy workaround
Got these to fix a cheap, easily broken battery connector on a cheap RC car we got for my boy off amazon. The wire gauge was on the low end of the compatibility for these connectors, and as such the connection didn't work as designed as the cutting edges weren't close enough apparently to cut the insulation and get a decent connection. The wires were threaded, so I stripped a few mm of the insulation and then folded the exposed threaded wire back onto the insulated portion and inserted that with the exposed wire on the bottom side so that wire would also come into contact with the cutting surfaces and make a better connection. After this the connectors worked for my purposes. Unfortunately, the RC car shortly after died for unrelated reasons so we ended up getting a new one anyways, so can't say how durable the connectors were for long term use.

Not reliable
I wanted to like these. The concept makes sense and it got good reviews. If you can get the wires to stay clamped in, the actual part that connects doesn’t always make contact. Some of them were okay, but others were not, so I switched them all out for different connectors.

Great connectors
I used this Connectors in a motorcycle to make a home made universal connector capable of been unplug and plug back with a replacement as need it. My cable were o the thick side but it says it is supported. The connector didn't wanted to close all the way. They click when you close it and tge clear part locks in. I try forcing it to lock but it would work. So I install it and use shrink covers to make sure this locking part will not come undone while driving. I will recommend the connector but don't use the thicker gage it says it can use go one below.

Very cheaply made, clip broke on one the first time installing. Followed all instructions plus I have used other wire connectors in the past and never had issues like this. I will not buy this item again
