Perky-Pet403CP Pinch Waist Plastic Hummingbird Feeder, 8-Ounce , Red

This company makes this same feeder in clear glass and I thought that’s what I was ordering because I needed a second feeder since my hummingbirds are battling over the one I have. This one is actually colored red plastic. To be honest, this one drips a lot more than my glass one. Since I have it hanging over a ledge, it does not drip on my patio, it drips over the bushes down below, so it’s not a huge deal. I would get the glass one if you are hanging directly over a patio or deck. If you are hanging over bushes, grass or something then it would be fine. I’m on the 3rd story of an apartment building so I am not concerned about ants up here, and haven’t seen any. I have attracted a couple of regular bees that now hang out on the feeders so it has been fun trying to refill them without being stung! Lol

This is the second one I have ordered in 4 years. It finally cracked this year and it leaked. I had no issues whatsoever those 4 years. It was so nice not having dead flies floating in the water because of the bee guards. I have a glass solar light, hummingbird feeder right next to it, and they always prefer this one. My solar light one also gets the floating bugs. I'm actually gonna buy another one as back up.

This product is complete and utter garbage. Should have listened to the one star reviews stating how badly it leaks. Why did I continue to buy it? Simple. I figured that other people using it outdoors had these issues due to winds causing it to sway and leak.I use hummingbird feeders for much more unconventional uses where there is zero movement. We breed a specific type of moth that produces eggs we farm for reptiles. They love sugar water and hummingbird feeders are what we opt for. Too bad they leak in the cages and cause and insane amount of issues.Want to fill these up? No problem. Turn it upside down, unscrew the bottom and fill it up. Then turn it right side up…carefully and build an ark. Then prepare for the flood. The holes allow the liquid to come pouring out. It is insane how bad it leaks. Pretty sure you can just stare at it and it dumps. Good luck even transporting or hanging it.The bee guards for those of you who actually use it for its intended purpose would be disappointed too since it just leaks and goes right past the guards. It’s like a beaver building a dam but they are new to the job and poke strategic holes to let the water through. Truly makes no sense. Want to get ants? That’s how you get ants. I guess if you want to start a bee colony this could attract enough.Anyways, overall this product is terrible and I’m sticky, the house is sticky, the moths are sticky, the family, dogs, and hamster are sticky. Send help.

Nice feeder but our hummer visits dropped dramatically.1) appears they did not like the bee guards at all.I took the flower off, removed the yellow bee guards, flipped them open and cut the "guard screen" off at the plastic hinge.2) The large red flower easily collects rain and debris and yuck. Left'em off.Within an hour, back to normal!!This is a very good feeder. But much better with a little "retrograde"No complaints. I just wouldn't get another with the huge flower or the bee guards.Hummers deal bees in the wild. They have no bee guards on flowers so just think about that.Not dissing Perky Pet or their products in any shape form or fashion. I will be buying from Perky Pet again, just not this particular feeder and NO Bee Guards or huge flowers.Thank you Perky Pet

I put this out six days ago, and it wasn’t long before Our first hummingbird spotted it and came back for more periodically throughout the day. I am very happy. It is easy to clean easy to assemble really a child can do it. It was that easy.

Looks nice. Seems well enough built, but , for some reason it seems to leak more than similar designs I have.???

It amazes me how something as small as a bird feeder can bring so much Joy. The wife and I really enjoy watching the Hummingbirds feed...

These work but they do leak sometimes and that’s annoying I like that they are plastic cuz then the paint doesn’t come off and the it’s not metal where it can rust but the leaking is very annoying and draws ants and bees went back to the glass ones

Exactly as shown. Easy to clean, the s hook enclosed is a bit too small. 1 port leaked but refund issued right away. I will buy again in hopes it will not leak.

The media could not be loaded.  La parte de arriba que es para poner agua contra las hormigas gotea y hay que estar poniendo agua constantemente, en general está bien, llegó a tiempo y los colibríes les encanta.

Para evitar las hormigas, en lugar de agua yo utilicé grasa; otros pájaros que llegan al comedero voltean el depósito y provocan derrame de miel.
