I have a 10+ year old Ikea Markus chair, and 7 years ago I added aftermarket casters (not these) to it in order to protect my carpeting. This combo worked great until last week, when one of my aftermarket casters snapped.Seeing as how my Markus chair was 10+ years old I figured it was time for a new one, so I ran down to Ikea and got *another* Markus chair, as I knew they fit me (I'm a big/tall guy) and were comfortable. I also wanted different casters for the new chair, so I ordered these.They popped right on, and man, do they roll smoothly, even better than the ones I had on my old chair. They were so good I got a second set for my old chair, and am handing it down to my daughter.I've only had these casters for a short time, so longevity is still an open question, but the initial impressions are that these are well made, fit my Ikea chairs correctly, and provide VERY smooth rolling on my mid-length carpeting. Highly recommended.

The wheels on my Ikea Markus chair were never great, and when I learned that there were rollerblade style replacement wheels available, I thought I'd give them a try.They are fantastic! It was fairly easy to pull out the old wheels and pop the new ones in place (they're just held in with friction, just give them a good yank) and now the chair rolls like it's on butter.

I didn't even know I needed these until these were suggested in a search. I hated the plastic wheels that came with the chair and these replacement wheels were an acceptable price so I bought them. Thankfully, I remembered my office chair is an IKEA chair so I was ordered the right sized wheels. I yanked the old crappy wheels off and jammed these new wheels in with no problems (exact fit for the IKEA base.) At first the chair felt odd but then I realized these new wheels have a little give to them due to the material AND these wheels are a good 2" taller than the old wheels. So, once I adjusted the chair itself (lowered it a bit) everything felt great. I have hardwood flooring in my office and these roll around dead silent and with ease.

I have an office chair that I really like and have had for several years. Recently I noticed the casters weren't rolling, due to dog hair and I could not remove it. I looked for a new chair but couldn't find a comparable one in my price range. So I decided to give this one new life. So I bought these caster.These casters are an upgrade to the old dual wheel casters that the chair had originally. As others have mentioned, they roll almost to well, so you need to hold the chair when sitting down. They do raise the chair a little but most chairs have a height adjustment anyway. They were easy to install and work great.I use an office mat as I have carpet in my office.Can't think of any downsides

Was shipped the wrong version ( I needed the 10mm ikea version, got the standard 11mm version) initially, but the company immediately shipped the correct type of wheel once they were aware of the error. Easy to replace, just pull the old ones and show in the new ones.The review had me rate them on "sheerness" and "stretch", which is weird... so sure, 5 starts for those. They roll way, way nicer than the stock Ikea wheels, especially on carpet, which is the reason I got them. Now that I know these things exist, my next Ikea chair will have these installed as soon as I get out, rather than waiting for the stock ones to break.

My son was using an IKEA office chair in his room with laminate floors. The original casters did not glide well and I was concerned the floor would be damaged. I looked through various options and this product was a fantastic price and fit as an IKEA chair replacement so I tried it. The wheels arrived quickly, installed easily and have worked amazing. I would highly recommend this product. The company has also been very helpful and considerate.

I cant review the product because only 3 of 5 casters were included in my box. I did however conclude that these did not fit my ikea chair as described in the product description.

I’m using these in my ikea patrik chair (which I think is non-standard) & they were easy to replace. I have non skid ceramic tile & they still roll very easily. I actually have to stop the chair from rolling when I first sit down b/c I will roll several feet away from my desk lol. I’ve had them ~ 2 mos & no probs.
