It is too early yet, since has been less than 24 hours from receiving the laptop, but everything is perfect so far:1) Package was delivered ahead of schedule. I have to say, though, that pure luck had something to do with it, because my wife was arriving home at the same moment the truck driver was standing in the sidewalk with the box in his hands and looking a bit lost. I live in a community of four stories buildings with secured doors. Community official rules for delivering packages is that companies like FedEx and UPS request from management access to a smart locker room where the driver enters the destination apartment number and places the package in a box, and the system notifies the resident. This Amazon driver, obviously wasn't aware of the procedure.2) Packaging itself was very well done, and laptop condition is pristine, absolutely looking like New. There is no sign at all that suggests it is refurbished.3) Luckily this package had additional instructions that another one I bought recently (Acer re-certified too, not in Amazon) and had to send back because couldn't start it. Instructions said to fully charge the battery first for eight hours, before doing anything else. I left it plugged to AC Adapter overnight, for more than 12 hours. This morning, unplugged the laptop from power and when pressed the Power button, the laptop instantaneously came to life, with the usual Windows 10 desktop screen. The initial setup doesn't ask for any password to log in, but that is something you can do in a couple of minutes, as I did.4) First thing I connected my HP wireless USB 2 mouse adapter to the left side port of the laptop. Was recognized and the mouse started working immediately. Connecting to my building WiFi network was a breeze: the fastest I have seen compared to all other computers (a few) I have. After that, downloaded and installed Chrome, synchronized with my personal account, downloaded and installed LibreOffice and finally my 15 years old favorite strategy game, that of course knows nothing of the new 1920 * 1080 resolution this laptop features, but Windows 10 and this laptop were kind enough to bear with it and allowed to play it at the max resolution possible: 1400 x something else. One of the installs above needed my (not so new) USB 3.0 40 GB flash drive inserted to one of the blue USB ports in the right side, to copy some 1.5 GB of files and it was done pretty fast.5) Steps 3/4 above were started minutes after 6:00 am. A bit after 7:30 am everything was done, and I put the laptop to Sleep about 8:00 am. At that moment the battery icon was telling that there were like 4.5 hours more left on it.6) Laptop is really thin and light, and has a great looking overall.For less than a day of use, I think this is a pretty ample review. Shall something important need to be added in the future, I'll do so.April 14, 2019. Adding a couple of comments more.1) This laptop runs surprisingly fresh, taking into consideration its Hard Drive (1TB) is a conventional/mechanical one.2) The combination of the 1TB Hard Disk Drive with the 16 GB cache memory (Inter Optane) seems to be as good as advertised, delivering the best of both worlds: size and price from the HDD side plus speed, silence and low/none heating from the SSD side.July 7, 2019 - All the good things above stand. Battery life is so long that kind of bothers me sometimes, because, by example, in my lunch break I go to the public library with out the AC unit, start watching YouTube and say myself: in an hour - or two max - battery life will be down enough so the laptop will stop by itself, letting me know it's time to leave. Well, it hasn't happened yet. I can do that two/three days in the week, without having to recharge.Feb/12/2023. Kaput, all good things have an end. Lasted almost four years, but the last six months were painful because it refused to boot from its hard drive, and for a while I managed to boot from a USB connected - conventional 3.5" drive that was the main disk in a former desktop I had, before buying this laptop, but this last weekend that remedy wasn't enough.I'm not planning to buy another laptop for the moment. Two years ago I bought a NUC (4 x 4 x 1.5 inches) and I will buy a portable monitor, to take the NUC with when travelling.

The laptop worked great and performed as expected but the charger stopped working after 3 months. I ordered a replacement charger but that stopped working after 3 months as well.

Great while it lasted. Sleek, lightweight and snappy performance. Unfortunately, it was delivered with an existing account already set up, which should never be the case for a new user, even if the laptop was renewed. I had to try and reset the laptop several times before giving up and establishing a new account. Thereafter the laptop refused to update to the latest version of Windows. I tried the Microsoft Windows 10 msu file as well as the MCT, to no avail. I also had used the Acer Recovery software to create a bootable USB drive. Hadn’t used it until today, where it failed catastrophically by destroying the laptop’s C: partition. Fortunately, I made a backup of all my files beforehand. Unfortunately, I just dropped another $500 on a new laptop from a local retailer. Hope this time things turn out better!

I had an Acer laptop for about 7 years before deciding it was time to replace it. It had served me well over the years, so when I began my research I looked into Acer laptops again. This beauty was a glorious rose gold color, offered great capabilities, and was in my budget due to its refurbished condition.Everything about it is as described, except for one feature, which ironically I had issues with with my first Acer. The touch pad freezes when first booting up, so it takes several seconds before being able to move the cursor around without it getting stuck. With my first Acer, I actually sent it back and had this issue fixed. I didn't want to go through this process with my second Acer, so I always give it a few seconds before trying the touch pad - or I simply use my wireless mouse which gives me immediate function when booting up.

Great laptop with minor problems, I bought mine refurbished as I had luck with those products in the past, initially everything seemed to work well, then the screen brightness changed and when I adjusted the settings nothing happens, other issues I had were the laptop froze when running more than 2 programs at the same time, eg. Virtual DJ and a DMX program.

I love the color. It works like it's supposed to. It has no disk drive so I will need to buy one to play CDs and DVDs.

This Acer started to glitch after 8 months, now after a year it's not coming on its 1st in the loading mode, then black screen...I hear then I see the roaring loading bar, but still not coming on..!!It would freeze a lot to the point that I had to constantly restart...I read somewhere that some had issues with its driver.I bought this on a budget, because I didn't have enough money for Laptop I wanted...This has turned out to be a waste of money

I never leave reviews but I had to leave a review on this lap top. I needed a good lap top for school. My old acer lap top was over 15 years old and could no longer hang lol. I love all things apple but the specs on the mac book did not compare to this and for a fraction of the price. This thing looks and runs amazing.
