Worked perfectly.
I got the Koss PortaPro headphones when they were new, I think it was 1998. They're a really nice set of phones, BTW. Not studio monitors, but I worked in a boring lab job, and needed quality sound. Those delivered. That is, until, about 8 or 9 years later when the foam started disintegrating. I saw rotten black poly in my kid's ears when he borrowed them. These pads fit perfectly. They have been in place for almost 4 years now, and they have not disintegrated. I'm speaking directly to performance and longevity, now: A single set of these pads has been in place for almost 4 years, and has not started to break down. Granted, I use these in climate-controlled conditions only... but they're lasting so long, I don't even know where the package is. And the sound quality has not deteriorated in the least since this replacement. If anything, they restored the balance that was lost when the old pads degraded. I have and will continue to recommend these to friends. _____________ Update 2018: I just bought a new pack of these. I only used 4 of the first 6. My kid tore one, I lost another. The 4 that I used lasted almost 9 years. The second pair disintegrated almost completely after about 4.5 years of storage and 4 years of use. I consider that to be outstanding construction. However, I can also say that I would prefer a slightly lower-priced 4 pack of these, because I think that 9 years from now, I'm gonna have two pads left that I can't find, or are stiff from age without eve being used. Plus my kids grew up over the intervening time.

Perfect fit for Koss KTXPRO1 Titanium headphones
Took a while to get the Koss KTXPRO1 Titanium headphones apart to change the foam. It felt like I was going to break something for sure. Hint-move speaker from head band pry up around the edge, once you pry a little bit, gently twist back and forth a little bit and it will pop out.

Thin but nice
I absolutely love my Koss Porta Pros. When the foam completely disintegrated from age I hopped on Amazon and found these. They arrived the very next day. They fit well but I am not sure how long these will last as they seem very thin . But they are still comfortable and for the price and the number of pads you get, it's still a good deal. I would have preferred to have two better pads than six thin ones, but we'll see how long these last.

Exact replacement.
We have ordered these previously and they are an exact replacement for our Koss Porta Pro headphones. Considering the free shipping, the price was very reasonable and delivery was overnight. How can one be anything but pleased?

Installation Tips
These foam ear pads seem fine, but I struggled to figure out how to install them on my Koss KTXPRO1 Titanium headphones. The original foam pads had deteriorated to almost nothing after a few years even though I don't use them often. I found it easier to work with by first removing the speaker part from the head band; gently pry the speaker part from the two pivot nubs of the head band. Work on one side at a time so you don't swap left and right speakers. I could slip the tip of a flathead screwdriver between the inner black plastic speaker part and the outer plastic silver enclosure, but it did not snap apart and felt like I might break something if I forced it. Actually it does snap apart, but there is a dab of stretchy adhesive on the center junction where the two parts snap together. Use a fairly wide flathead screwdriver so that you can twist it to create a big gap. Work your way around with the screwdriver until you have loosened the hold of the adhesive and created a large enough gap so that you can grasp the black plastic part with one hand while holding onto the silver enclosure part with the other. Gently twist a little but mostly pull it apart until it breaks free. See the image for how it looks when you get it apart. You might pick out any excess adhesive that may get in the way of reassembly. Pull or cut out remnants of the old pad and replace with the new pad. Gently tug it into place, and push your finger along the surface from the center to the edge to help evenly distribute the new pad so that it covers the spiky nubs. To reassemble first make sure that the rubber cord strain relief is wedged in the notch on the silver enclosure. Then align the fastener part on the back of the black speaker with the corresponding part in the center of the silver enclosure. It is challenging to tell if you have it aligned correctly, but with visual approximation and a light touch you can do it. Making sure the wire is not going to be pinned in the center snapping fastener, press firmly and it will click into place.

Headphones are good as new.
There were several negative reviews that these replacement pads would not stay on. I used the blunt end of a thin metal nail file to push the edges into the gap in the headphones like the original pads were (being careful not to rip them). It has been 2 1/2 years so far and they are still firmly in place. These are an excellent product I recommend to extend the useful life of your headphones.

Never Again
If you are considering the purchase of these Headphone Covers because you have done so in the past and they worked well for you, suggest you think twice. I have purchased these repeatedly in the past with no problem whatsoever. This time around total disappointment is my reward for trusting this manufacturer. I can take a hint and the message I've received is, “We do not care.” I can not speak for any change in durability, simply because the Covers will no longer mount on the headphones so they will never see any use. There is no depth in the current design to allow for the earpiece to actually insert in to the Cover. If you have the patience you might eventually be able to wrangle them into the correct position, but they will pop right off as soon as you release the two-handed grip necessary to place them there. My supposition, based on that the packaging has gone generic, is that Koss (a Brand I previously trusted implicitly) has farmed out production and “quality” control to another Vendor. Total waste of my time, money, and effort, as well as a betrayal of expectations.

Ricambio originale e perfetto. Assolutamente consigliato. Amazon, come sempre, top!
