I have tried many of the cheaper hand blenders and they all start out doing well and them the motor dies within 6 months or so. This wasn't much more than those "bargain" models and is so much better! It feels more substantial and does a much better job at blending.The feel is good--the handle is easy to grasp and the buttons are well-placed and easy to depress. The two pieces come apart easily and the bottom can be cleaned in the dishwasher.The bell-shaped bottom is very effective in blending more fully. I always had trouble with the others in getting the ingredients near the top to blend with the rest but you can actually see this pulling the ingredients downward to blend better.Yes, it was more expensive than some others (not by much) but I would never go back to one of those, due to durability and blending issues.Would definitely recommend this product.

I wanted an immersion blender to smooth moles. I tried it out making pineapple jalepeno jam. It made a 5-lb (2 quarts cut up) pineapple into fine puree in a matter of minutes. There was no splashing and plenty of power. The top comes off so you can store it in a drawer. Cleans easily. If you're looking for a high quality immersion blender you ought to consider this model. I'm delighted that I made this purchase.

I had an old Braun immersion blender and this so much nicer. Sturdy, easy use AND NO SPLASH. Really worth it.

10/30/24: I am so happy with this, and it's so much better than my old one, that even if it died tomorrow I'd order a new one without hesitation. Everything about it is a substantial upgrade. Plus it's easy to use and all the accessories just add to the fun.I'm primarily using it for protein shakes right now because that's what I need. The wand with the blade is perfect for my use and I use an OXO Good Grips 4-Cup Squeeze & Pour Silicone Measuring Cup to blend and pour. The extra space in the cup keeps the mess off my counter. Really like the two speeds, but I use the higher one for my shakes.The included cup is huge and a great size. My only want is that it had a lid for storage in the fridge.10/27/24: Just arrived today. This is a replacement for an older MQ that was a workhorse for me for a long time. And I didn't baby it. Still runs well but it was time for an upgrade. Out of the box the MQ5025 is beautiful and a VERY NICE upgrade. I haven't tested it yet but once I do I'll adjust my rating and review based on my findings. Meanwhile, 3-stars to start until I can see what this gorgeous, corded, beast can do.

For medical reasons, I've been using a stomach feeding tube for a few months now. All food needs to be well blended in order to freely travel through the tube without interruption. This beast is well built to handle just about anything you can throw at it. Several selectable speeds allow us to use the varying speeds to blend different types of vegetables, meats and juices quickly and efficiently. This blender checks all of the boxes for usability. Food does not jam up inside the blender as it does in many other blenders. It's large and powerful enough to handle anything we've blended so far. We do NOT use it to blend ice. Our Ninja blender does that quite well, thank you.OK, so why did we rate this blender at 4 stars, rather than 5??? The very nicely designed box looked like it had been drop-kicked from one end of Amazon's warehouse center to the other. Even the styrofoam packing took a heck of a beating. HOWEVER, believe it or not the blender itself arrived without damage, even though some packager had used Amazon tape to but it back together before finally heading out the door. Needless to say, the box was trashed immediately after unpacking. As I implied before, this blender is a 'tough guy'! Looks and operates without a problem. Quieter to than other blenders. The different head design contributes to easy, non-clog operation. You are not going to go wrong buying this one.

The media could not be loaded. What an amazing machine. This emulsifier has a wonderful high-quality, feel solid function and performs flawlessly. I didn’t need an emulsifier with attachments that I can break and lose and just clutter up The kitchen. This Braun Emulsifier makes quick work of your food creations. Unique design of the housing around the blade ensures it does not splatter. Very easy to clean with an easily removable attachment. I love the easy to use buttons and nice grip. Nothing awkward about this. I wish I purchased it sooner.

My old blender was designed just like this but was an off brand. The speed dial, in my opinion, didn't seem to do much. I watched someone's video showing that changing the dial actually does raise or lower the speed on the Braun so I decided to order it.This blender has been amazing! I make an eggnog latte every morning and this is my go-to gadget. Besides the dial speed that actually works and reduces splatter, it's also easier to clean. My old one had a really deep cavity where the blades are and it was harder to clean. I was always poking myself trying to get in there and remove the residue. Braun was smart enough to put in a plastic barrier that keeps the ingredients from getting very deep in that blending head so it's very easy to rinse and wash with a sponge (or whatever).The Turbo speed seems to get much higher than turning the dial all the way up. So if you need a higher speed, then you have the ability to use this feature. For me, since the dial can turn it way down while still blending my ingredients, I have little to no splatter on my kitchen counter. This used to be a problem with my old blender.Hoping it lasts as long as my first blender which was also by Braun. Lasted for a couple of decades, I think. Overall, I recommend this unit!
