By far the best kayak (I've owned 3 different ones previously)
Over the last 3 years, I've purchased 3 different premium inflatable kayaks and spent over £2000, all had issues; either too heavy to carry to the water, not rigid enough, didn't track in a straight line, the seats kept moving so they became really uncomfortable or they had so many parts that it was a chore to unpack and pack them. The Bluewave Glider is by far the best kayak, it's as rigid as a surfboard, there is no flex in this kayak at all. It's lightweight and easy to carry, is narrow and tracks in a perfect straight line and best of all; the seat, which has a comfy high back has four fixing points, it doesn't slide out of position, not even an inch. Also, the kayak has 3 air chambers, so if you get a puncture, you've got just enough air to keep you from sinking. This kayak is also easy to clean (no cloth material on the kayak) so no mould or smells when packed. Unlike other kayaks I've tried, you don't need a separate floor or backbone or frame or anything else. This is a one-piece kayak that you simply fold out and pump up via the three valves. While great for lakes, canals and slow-moving rivers, this kayak wants to track in a straight line so it isn't ideal for sharp turns or carving. It also felt unstable and wobbly at first (compared to the three other kayaks I owned) but after 15 minutes I'd got used to it.I only have two gripes about this kayak:1) The bag sucks, it's a more like a piece of cloth that wraps around the kayak than an actual bag, surely the manufacturers can do better than this? I would gladly pay an extra £20 for a decent bag, thankfully the kayak isn't too heavy so it's not a major issue.2) My friend, who purchased his kayak at the same time as me, was sent a faulty pump and his kayak was under inflating. He got the pump swapped but the new one wasn't the same as the one in the description and was inferior to my working pump.I love this kayak and so does my dog. Before anyone whinges; she now has a dog buoyancy aid/life jacket.
