Replacement Battery Quartz Movement for Hermle 2114, 2115 or Any Clock, DIY Clock Kit with Howard Miller 354471 / Kieninger QQA10, 16mm Shaft Length

The first movement I received was defective. The replacement came promptly, even before I returned the defective one.The replacement unit worked flawlessly and has been keeping time accurately for the past week.

The shaft on the movement supplied was not long enough for the clock I was attempting to repair. As per instructions that came with the movement I sent an e-mail request to the supplier (Qwirly) requesting how to exchange it for a movement with a longer shaft. As of this time I have had no response from them.Edited 24 Feb: In addition to sending an e-mail request I followed up with a telephone call. Automated answering service. Left a message and have had ZERO response as a result of either means. Based on my customer experience I would recommend looking for an alternate supplier for your needs.

The device replaces my original our of production movement, at a fairly high price.. However, the initial setup to align the hands with the time/ charm was a little fiddly. And after several attempts, I still cannot get the chimes to pause overnight. If I was comfortable I could find a better replacement that would fit I would swap. For a new build, I would use another brand.

I have used two sets of new batterys and it will not keep time correctly. Also it does not mark the quarter hour all the time.

Wrong depth (my fault being ignorant of such things), and wrong size speaker. Modified housing to accommodate thinner mechanism, and unsoldered speaker and swapped with original. Works fine.

This is a direct replacement for my Howard Miller Millennium Edition mantel clock. 15-20 minutes installed and keeping perfect time.

I have an old Hermle clock with the 2214 movement, which apparently went obsolete some years ago. I looked everywhere to find a replacement so I could get my clock working again. I was about to order a movement from another seller, but I was worried it would be way too small, like for a toy music box. I finally found and ordered this one. It was the right decision because it looks exactly like the original Hermle movement. I understand that it is also made in Germany, just by a different manufacturer. It actual sounds better than the original, in my opinion. It came quickly, was packaged well, and the installation instructions were included and easy enough to follow. Also, it included all the mounting hardware (I didn't need it because I just used the nuts and washers I already had). Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. I'm enjoying having my clock working again.

This clockworks was easy to install in my clock. It was a perfect replacement for my Hermle 2114 unit. After working perfectly for 2 months, it quit working. I replaced the batteries, but that didn't help. I contacted the seller about getting a replacement on the warranty. They have ignored my inquiry.
