Fluted Cake Pan

I made my grandmother’s pound cake (aka Bundt cake) recipe for her since she’s in assisted living and can’t bake anymore. The second one came out beautifully! The only problem with the first was that the top and bottom thirds were cooked, but the middle third was still raw. I realized that after checking with a toothpick taking it out of the pan...oh well. The second one I made, I checked for doneness with a bamboo kebab skewer, and baked it a little longer. It came out beautifully and tasted great. I know some reviews said that the silicone doesn’t brown as well as metal, but mine came out with great color and so much cleaner than a metal pan. It goes in the dishwasher and is easy to clean as well as store. I highly recommend!

I haven't used a bundt cake pan in years because I hate oiling and flouring all the little crevices but the silicone version is great! I poured my cake batter directly in the pan and it came out perfectly. You have to place the silicone pan on a cookie sheet and when it comes out, you have to let it cool before you touch the pan, but then all you need to do is gently pull the silicone away from the cake and then turn it over onto a serving plate. It is super simple and it cleans up easily.

I enjoyed baking somewhat regularly with this Bundt pan and it always worked well. After the last bake, I noticed the texture changed and it was downright sticky. I thought there was maybe oil or butter residue that baked on but no matter how much I washed it, it never regained its former nonstick texture. Not a bad lifespan but definitely a lot less than a metal baking pan.

Purchased to make the Perfect Cranberry Sauce and it was absolutely perfect. One of the difficulties in the dish is "unmolding" it this pan made it a breeze. It was very easy to peel the sides and invert it loosening the set gelatin desert without disturbing it and the pattern was GORGEOUS. Absolutely perfect for the perfect cranberry sauce recipe. Cleaning it was a breeze too. Rinsed it and put it in the top rack of the dish washer and it came out like brand new.

I was excited to get this product but the first thing I noticed was the odor which didn’t go away after washing. In fact it permeates the cake I baked in it! You have to place it on a pan because it is malleable and unstable. I wanted thee pan so I wouldn’t have to use grease but I found that after cooling the cake and inverting the pan some of the cake stuck to the pan

I was a little hesitant based on some reviews. Honestly I can't imagine what happened with those other customers. This is my first silicone baking dish, won't be my last. It performed wonderfully, the cake I baked in it came out flawlessly and clean-up was a breeze. Highly recommend... I'm very pleased!!!
