DYS D2836 1120KV Brushless Motor 2-4S Outrunner Motor for RC Models FPV Multirotor Quadcopter

I put this on the same plane on which I've been using a Turnigy 2836 1120kv 300 watt motor. The old motor's shaft was bent. This looked like a good replacement. I fly with a 4S pack, and a 9x6 e prop. The first flight, it seemed to be pulling less thrust on takeoff. I usually start with half throttle and on the average I probably use 2/3 throttle. I had to go give it more throttle that first flight but the 2nd and 3rd flights seemed to be ok. I thought maybe it just needed to be flown a couple of times. Middle of the 3rd flight it smoked and died.Might have just been a bad motor. I'd return it but it just seems like too much trouble for a $16 motor. Maybe I can use the shaft to fix the old one. I don't think I'll be buying this again. They should just give me a refund but that doesn't seem to be an option.

Inexpensive motor and you get what you pay for. The bearings are somewhat noisy and when first run, the rpm varied at full speed. However, after running for awhile the rpm seems to not be a factor any longer, is more constant. Paperwork with motor suggests a 11x7 prop on a 2c. Best performance I have found is with a 10x6 or 10x7.

Decent motor for the price. Was expecting more power to be developed. Also could run a little smoother. That being said, it has worked for many hours of flight and survived a mild crash without issue. Would buy again for a lighter plane.

I purchased 5 of these (4 for use and 1 for backup) and they all seem to be working fine and as described. Still haven't tested the validity of its claimed maximum thrust but I imagine it's true as well. Overall a solid motor for all copter based builds.

i bought it as a replacement for a similar brand that burned on 1st use, this one works very nice for multiple flights already. hopefully it will keep performing. the missing star is for the stiff motor wires, makes it prune to break.
