MOJO Indian Pangolin Toy Figure

I’m enjoying introducing this and other less commonly known creatures to children. This is well made and it is holding up well.

Mojo Fun's pangolin is just delightful! We collect a lot of animal figures for our nature-based education/forest schooling, and this is in the top five for posing, coloring, and choice of species. It's not easy to find pangolin figures! I've spent time with a real pangolin before, and the paint job on this replica is close to the real thing, with a bronze-ish, almost-metallic-but-not-quite lustre. The face and scales are well-modeled and accurate (it seems to depict the critically endangered Indian pangolin, although the label is imprecise), and the pose is sturdy (no tipping over easily, but then that's easier to do with a body plan like a pangolin's). Well loved in our collection! Among other things we use it to talk about convergent evolution (with anteaters and armadillos), adaptive radiation, unique anatomy (pangolins are the only mammal to have keratin scales), defensive strategies, conservation and animal endangerment (pangolins are the world's most illegally traded animal), advancements in cladistics thanks to genetic sequencing (once grouped with other insect-eating mammals, they are now grouped in Ferae, cousins of Carnivora), and even history (in Asia, pangolin scales were sometimes used to make armor).

I love rare animals and this pangolin is so realistic and beautiful it looks great with all my other rare animal figurines.

My son enjoys testing my patience by giving me a list of odd items he wants as gifts for the holidays - a blue canoe, a woven chicken, a pangolin. I'll admit that I didn't even know what a pangolin was. This is item is small but the listing specs are accurate so I knew that when I purchased it. The quality and paint is really nice. This isn't like those little plastic farm animals mass produced and sold in bags.

Very detailed and loved by the kids. The eyes even have a high gloss to them to make it more realistic. Solid, not hollow

First time buying a figurine from Mojo, but my son really wanted a pangolin so I ordered it. Very nice figure and equal to schleich in quality, my son has dozens of the schleich and this will fit in nicely.
