Much better than the old mechanical timer
This was purchased to replace an existing mechanical timer installed in a TR40000RT3 pool panel. The timer module fits the installation bracket from the mechanical timer with our any problems. Installation was straightforward as the wiring mostly matches up between the old and new module. only had to add two connections between the terminals powering the module and the 2 load terminals and set proper voltage and operation mode jumper (SIM for 240V simultaneous switching in my case) Note: the enclosure this comes in is an indoor only version. I wasn't going to use it anyway and it was cheaper to buy it with it than to buy the timer unit separately. I would not install this outside in the supplied enclosure.

Replaced Mechanical Timers
I had 2 Intermatic mechanical timers in a T30404r outdoor box for 20 years this year to control my pools main pump and pool sweep/heater. I've moved the box several times now due to some remodeling. The last time I moved it, the wall I placed it on hums and can be heard just loud enough to be heard at night while I try to sleep. If not for the humming, I expect the timers would probably last another 10 years if not more. I ordered a ET1125c electronic timer which arrived in a few days. It was shipped from JD's Electrical Supplies. It was in new packaging as I would have expected. However I quickly released that I would need a second timer after all. I hit the "Buy Again" button and a few days later, I get what was obviously a returned unit. This one came from PLEXSUPPLY. While the unit itself still looked new, only one of the 3 installation sheets was in the box. There were 3 installation sheets in the first box, one in English, one in Spanish and one in French. The sheet that came with the box from PLEXSUPPLY was not in English. Without the English version, I would have sent back the unit from PLEXSUPPLY. But since I had the one that came with the first unit, I kept this used unit. Additionally, the second unit's plastic safety apron that covers the contacts after install barely stays on the timer due to rough handling. The unit was preprogrammed already which I had to clear and the voltage switch on the back was not set to the defaults as listed in the install sheet. I was pretty sure I would be returning this second unit expecting it would not behave as expected. I was very happy to find that the new electronic units snapped right into the T30404r box once I removed the mechanical units. I made some jumpers as listed in the install sheet, wired up the rest of the wiring, programmed on and off events and I was done. No more humming. I needed two 240v setups, one for each pump. Thanks to Intermatic for making high quality, long lasting products. The install was easy with the very detailed install sheet. Hopefully the return unit I received will not be an issue. Otherwise I'll be reaching out to PLEXSUPPLY.

Works great fixed my problem!
Time works great for my pool. Fixed the old motor fault. That I was replacing due to losing time or just stop working. Was able to use old timer housing. install rewire timer, Programming. easy! But found out I could have install a water heater time for half the price! That’s the only reason it’s not a five star!

Great replacement for my two existing individual timers
I have two 20A circuits of outside outlets that I use primarily for holiday decorations (Halloween and Christmas), and for general outside electricity needs otherwise. I had two ET-100C timers to control those circuits, but one had been flakey since it was originally installed in 2006. I finally got around to replacing both units with a single unit (jumper set to "sim"/simultaneous) to control both at the same time, and am very happy with the results. I'm a computer nerd, but I don't do a lot of electrical work, so properly wiring one unit to get power from and switch two circuits took me longer than it should have. No problem -- I called the support line twice, had to wait maybe two minutes each time, and the support people were very friendly and helpful, and got me past some points of confusion. In the end, the biggest part of the project was the drywalling I had to do -- wiring and configuring was very easy. My only complaint is that the LCD display could be a tiny bit easier to read. Still, that's a pretty minor nitpick, as I expect to have to change the settings only very rarely. Overall the unit feels solid (it's inside my garage).

Complicated
Ordered this and paid for next day shipping. It arrived the next day as promised. Packaging looked good with no damage on box or inner wrappings. In spite of this, the plastic retainer tab that holds the top of the timer in the metal box was cracked in half. Tried gluing it back but that did not work because where it cracked was the natural stress point. My pool guy and I installed it anyway (when your pool pump is down and the temps are in the 90s there is not a great deal of time to waste...thus the overnight shipping). Part of me wanted to re-box and return it but, with the time factor involved, I decided to just install it. **A word for Intermatic folks, if they care, would be to either package the box and timer separatly or block the top of the timer into the box with a piece of foam to prevent the timer from moving during shipping and cracking the top tab. Installation was problematic even for my pool guy, who has installed many of these in different forms. I recommend that even the moderately handy handyman hire this done. Setting the timers is also not for the faint of heart. I had an old TightWatt digital unit that was soooo much easy to set up than this mulit-button pushing thing (come on guys, it dosen't really need to be this complicated does it??) The Intermatic has been running for several days now and I believe I finally may have the timer settings correct but, will have to wait until midnight to be sure. It was turning my pump on at midnight even though I hadn't set (or didn't think I had) a timer for midnight. On this my 5th run through I think I've finally got it sorted ....but I won't know until midnight! Possibly I bought more timer than I needed. My suggestion is to buy simply and only what you need to accomplish the task at hand. In other words, if you have a 220/240 volt load (pump or other device running at this voltage) and only want to turn it off and on a couple times a day and 7 days a week, find the timer that does just those things and buy that. Don't buy a backhoe when a shovel will do.

No More Mechanical Timer Motor Burnouts
Here in the Miami heat and humidity, my mechanical T104 Intermatic timers would cease to work because the little motor inside would fail. After replacing that little internal timer motor 5 or 6 times (about every other year) for $40 a pop, I decided I had enough and ordered this digital version. It was a perfect fit in the existing Intermatic box. I was a bit confused with how to properly wire it, but a call to Intermatic support gave me the information I needed to properly connect it. Honestly, I was extremely impressed with Intermatic support! They were friendly and efficient. I would go as far as to say that EVERY company providing customer support should model theirs after Intermatic. I intend to buy another one of these for my sprinkler timer when that old one fails.
