Slim, but Effective
My dog loves swimming a lot more with this lifejacket. It holds up well (I've only had to pull her up by the handle once, and it had no issues supporting all 45lbs of her), it's less bulky than my other dog's and is a simple, but nice design. I will definitely be replacing my smaller dog's lifejacket with this brand.

Well-made, good fit
The medium fits my 40 lbs six-month old black lab puppy perfectly (the large was too big). She looks great in it and it is very well-made for the price! My local pet store was selling the exact, same one for $49 so I'm delighted to find this on Amazon for more than half that price. Now I have to figure out how to train my bundle of energy to ride with me on my paddle board. ;-)

Worked great one time
Worked great one time. My dog is an 84 lb labradoodle and we got him the xl. It fits perfect and works great in the water. The reason I gave it three stars is because it ripped on the top during the first use! Major bummer!

ALMOST love it
I bought this life jacket because it was reasonably priced and I loved the color. It looks beautiful on my golden mix boy. He weighs about 32 pounds and is still growing, and the medium fits him pretty well with room to grow. I go to college in a river town, and I love bringing my pup there to play, but the first time I ever took him there he got carried away in the current, which wasn't even very strong. Luckily I had him on a leash and I pulled him back to me, but I didn't want to take a chance of that happening if he's leash-free, or if an accident happens and he gets knocked unconscious. He would not swim in parts of the river he couldn't touch previously, and was pretty nervous. He wears the life jacket no problem and is much more confident with it (despite the fact that my boyfriend said all the other dogs - and their people - would laugh). Most people think it's adorable, and it's so worth my piece of mind and his confidence swimming. Recently we started bringing him canoeing with us, and I would never want to take him in the boat without it. The other day he jumped out of the canoe and started swimming in a deeper part of the river and got stuck in the current. He was swimming against it but not moving an inch. The life jacket kept him afloat and prevented him from panicking until we could get to him and teach him to swim sideways out of the current. My favorite thing about this jacket is the handle. It is unbelievably convenient. BUT, it started ripping the first time I used it. I thought it might have just been a loose seam because it didn't rip any further the next time. It's ripped more now, and I fear it's only a matter of time until I can't use the handle anymore. That will be a major bummer for canoeing because I use it to lift him in and out of the boat. That's why I only gave it 4 stars.

Kept My Dog's Head Above Water
This is Sassy's first life jacket. She doesn't like the water but we wanted her to be safe if we ever took her on a boat. We tried it out in Aunt Julie's pool and it worked like a dream. It has secure snaps and it did a super job keeping her 10 pound body, she is a Yo-Chon, afloat and her head up on the water. The handle was sturdy and easy to grab. It dried quickly. I bought it totally based on the reviews which were right on. The price was right, delivery was on time. I am glad I made this purchase.

Ripped and Returning it
Fit well and looked good, it just didn't hold up to anything. It was also much thinner than expected and didn't put her much higher in the water than normal. Took her out on the boat today and went to help her in the boat and it ripped along the seam on the side. It wasn't even a dead life she had traction and was getting in, I was just helping her along. Am returning it and getting another brand. Get what you pay for I guess. There is a reason it's inexpensive.

Terrible material and stitching quality
The life jacket overall design is great. We bought the size small for our 23 pound corgi, and it did a good job of keeping her afloat all day. The additional flap under the neck was an added bonus as well, since it made sure to hold her head up higher in the water. It also was a very nice-looking life jacket, not too bulky looking and a great blue color. The reason for the low rating is the stitching around the handle. Although she was within the weight-limit for the small life jacket, as soon as we used the handle once to pull her out of the water and into the boat, the stitching immediately ripped. This seems like a very poor design, where the straps seem to only go partway up the jacket so there is a lot of stress put onto the material on top. In addition, it doesn't appear that I can even sew it back myself, since the material ripped apart when the stitching tore.On the flip side, we bought the Outward Hound life jacket for our 65 pound dog and it held up all day with no ripping, despite us pulling her out of the water into the boat many times. Comparing the two directly, I would most likely recommend Outward Hound moving forward, especially since they're in the same price range as this brand.

So happy I found this lifejacket
Well its a perfect fit for my Apple head Chi, its best one I have been able to find for her particular body, she's 5 lbs with broad chest XX small was perfect, she's still getting use to the water but I was able to get her to attempt to swim but have to make sure its on well or your pup will tip over like lol but gave it a lil tightening all was good! I have another Chi and she wears the small size. It appears to be made well & price was great!
