After buying and trying several other hair traps, I found them all to be flimsy or not very functional or both. I finally came upon this unit and decided to try it because it seemed simple and looked like it was worth a try. I liked that it was clear, was acrylic rather than PVC or PE, had a large opening and a cap with external threads and that it was American Made by Veterans. I have been convinced over many years that American Made is often better made. The trap was easy to install and is a direct replacement for a 1 1/2 inch p-trap, just replacing the lower half of the trap. My first customer is a hair stylist and has always complained about hair plugging the drain on her shampoo sink. We have been experimenting with several types of hair traps, but this one is by far the most sturdy and easiest for her to use. She likes the large easy to open cap and the hair catching "brush" that catches the hair and makes for easy removal. Her sink has a strainer on the drain, with a basket in the drain and then this trap. The drain basket catches a lot of longer hair and this trap catches the rest. After a few months of use, this unit does the job and she no longer has any drain clogging. I have presented this trap to many of my other customers including hair stylists through her recommendations and also many home owners who have had me install these units beneath their kitchen and some bathroom sinks. So far my customers are giving me rave reviews about this simple, well made product.

Loved the ease of installation and the concept. I regularly drop my jewelry down the drain and this looks like it is the perfect solution. No accidents since installation so can’t comment on functionality but I’m sure it will be great from looking at how it works.

This product is well made. Seems resistant to clouding up and clogging. Still very clear after a few months of use. No issues. The little "wheel filter" thing in the trap IMHO appears to be for catching hair. So if you're going to use this in a bathroom or a hair salon, it's probably great. If you're going to put this in a kitchen however, just go ahead and remove it. It clogged up instantly for me from garbage disposal ground items. Otherwise it's great for kitchens also. Recommended. Update: It's been 6 months now and I'm impressed that the inside of this trap doesn't cloud up with debris. It's still as clear as when I installed it. This was unexpectant since the clear ABS trap I had before this tended to have debris cling to the inside. So far so good.

These are perfect solution for bathroom sinks that typically will have a lot of hair going down the drain as well as probably having a higher chance of jewelry and other items all into the drain. Just a good overall idea on most sinks. The only caution is to have extra gaskets for the removal cap on hand ahead of time as the OEM ones tend to get stretched out and become unreliable after several times.

Installed this 4 months ago. Very happy 1st 2 X I cleaned the screen. No leaks.....until now, the 3rd cleaning. It doesn't want to seal well enough to not leak, It doesnt matter what I do. My guess is the plastic is only good for a couple unscrew and reseal (?). Too bad, I really wanted this to work..... Ok, i contacted seller via amazon. Very responsive! Immediately sent out complete replacement plus an additional cap and gasket! Wow! I looked up the company. Started by a former Soldier who had left his job to serve after 9/11, then came back and started this company. I say "HONOR" with all caps for this CEO. I am impressed, thank you!

This is a must have in every bathroom ;and I have to tell you just how easy this was to install it too..I’m not a plumber or handywoman at all not to mention I get my nails done and I had looked at this p-trap almost feeling that I was going to be defeated. After seeing that this is suppose to be easy I took out everything from under my sink; opened up the pkg ;now this p-trap I will tell you is very durable not cheaply made so I’m very confident that this will hold up very well connecting to my pvc pipe,I love the whole concept of this p-trap and if for some reason I drop my earrings or rings down the drain I know for sure that this will definitely 100% save them from going down the drain or wherever they would have gone ..I know this item will hold them right there until I disconnect it and take them out ,this is the best thing that someone could have made to save the day! I love that it’s made in the USA too I cannot be anymore happier with this product..Thank you !,..A Must Have!
