Off Brand Product Surpasses the Popular Brand Names!
I am writing a follow up review on this keyboard over FOUR YEARS after my purchase. After my most recent software update, it finally bit the dust and is no longer working. With the exception of it slipping a little off the connectors, and the “backbone” not staying stiff, it worked great and I had no issues. (I tore the cover off an old notebook binder to use as a base for stabilization. Problem solved!) I’m hoping the company will help me get it going again, but if not, I guess 2017 to 2022 wasn’t a bad run!—————————————————————This is an initial review because I've only had the case for 4 days. I just wanted to give my first impression so I can compare it to how the case performs 6 months from now.I type a lot in my occupation (legal secretary) and just can't get used to the virtual thing on a regular basis. I need a keyboard case for my 10.5 iPad Pro, which I'm constantly using when I'm not at work. These are the things I looked for when I was shopping around:1) I wanted a keyboard at least as large as my iPad with full size keys in a U.S. Qwerty layout (some of them were up to an inch shorter than my iPad and had the "up" arrow key and the shift key in awkward places that made it difficult to type)2) I wanted beveled sides or built-in rubber protectors on the lip so my iPad screen wouldn't have direct contact with the keys when the case was closed. (I have a Zagg InvisibleShield Glass+ protector that kept cracking while using my old Fintie keyboard case. While Fintie is an excellent case, they don't have bevels or protective rubber stoppers for the screen.) This Mangotek case does require a bit of care when closing because the bottom half of the iPad swings free once it is disconnected from the magnet/smart connector, but if handled carefully, the case closes without a problem.3) I wanted keys that felt as much like typing on a regular office keyboard as possible. (These keys resemble laptop keys, so the strokes are shorter, but they're not hard to get used to since the keys are full size.)4) I wanted a keyboard that would make it easy for me to hold on my lap. This keyboard has a smart connector on the side and a strong magnet that holds the iPad up when placed on a table and does okay when you're holding it in your lap. It only has one angle at which you can prop it, but that angle is comfortable enough for me to type and watch movies. I don't need the 90,000 angles that other cases boast they have. All that being said, I was limited in my choice of cases because there are only so many out there made for iPad Pro 10.5 (Model A1701). If I wanted the latest and greatest case, I would have had to go out and purchase a newer (and bigger) iPad. No, not gonna happen - not for a while, at least. Here's what I found: Zagg's Slimbook didn't even make it out of the starting gate with me. I had used their Folio with my older iPads and they ALWAYS broke at the hinge within 6-9 months of constant use. I read many reviews on the Slimbook and what did I see? Broken hinges. Been there, done that, not doing it again. Logitech was my second choice, but I couldn't get myself to try it because of the prop on the back of the case - I didn't think it would be very stable while holding it in my lap. (But it's still a contender if Mangotek takes a nose dive.) That left Brydge and all the off brands on Amazon. I didn't want to mortgage my house to buy a Brydge and their required iPad back cover (because, presumably, nothing else works/fits when using their case so you have to buy one from them - nice racket, eh?) All the off brands I saw had one or more of these problems: 1) keys or keyboards were too small or had keys in weird places; 2) had reviews where people said they had trouble with Bluetooth connection or keys/hinges breaking; and 3) no bevels/rubber stoppers to prevent screen touchdown. I also was a little wary of some of the creative ways the iPad part of the case connected to the keyboard part - some of them didn't look very sturdy and probably would have broken within a couple weeks of heavy use.Mangotek is the only case that was left - so by process of elimination, I bought it. After four days, it has worked flawlessly. I'm not saying that, if I drop my iPad, that it will protect it from irreversible damage. I don't think it can do that. But I didn't buy it for protection, I bought it for the functionality. So if I'm careful and don't drop my iPad from any 20-story buildings or throw it in my car in my haste to get to work every day, this case should do everything I wanted it to do. I'm hoping for a good 18 months to 2 years of use out of it (at least) for the $75 I paid. I will revisit this review in 6 months and write an update.

Worked great for 6 weeks
Worked great for the first 6 weeks. Sure it drained the battery a lot faster, but I could deal with that. Then suddenly I started getting a Device Not Supported message. Then even the message stopped. And of course, no return after 4 weeks. So, time for me to buy another keyboard...but not this one again.

Love it, but not perfect
This is a great keyboard, easy to set up and use. I really like it. I like that volume control is on the keyboard (unlike the apple alternative). I bought a sleeve to go with the ipad in it's case, because the case does feel like it will last a long time going in an out of my backpack. The pencil holder is flimsy and my pencil slides right out of it. So I put it in the pocket of the sleeve.

Not what I was hoping for
I bought this for my new pad air. I have used Logitech keyboards in the past and found they are great but wear down quickly. I was hoping this would be better. After 3 days the back is already having trouble keeping the iPad upright. The keyboard itself is nice but I don’t thin the case holds the iPad securely enough and definitely will not last. I’m contemplating returning it but the options are slim....

Good price for good quality
A friend recommended this MangoTek keyboard case for my iPad Pro 10.5” and it fit perfectly. Good price for good quality. The case is classy and sturdy looking on the outside and good quality on the inside. Fits my iPad Pro 10.5” and holds it securely. Also looks like it can protect my iPad from drops because of the way it is held securely in the case and protected on the corners holding the iPad. Keyboard connects to the iPad with ease and I can pick up my iPad and move it around while it stays connected to the keyboard because of a strong magnetic hold. I like the overall appearance and use. Recommend for professional use as well as regular usage. Will consider getting MangoTek keyboard for my other iPads too.

Unfortunately, This Didn’t Work Out! 🥴
Update 9/18/2019 - I couldn’t get pass the key strokes being missed. It slowed me down too much. The other thing I couldn’t get pass is how cheap it feels; keys, the cardboard feel of the case and the fact that it holds finger markings very badly and you can not clean it. I unfortunately had to return it. 🥴. I’m now still on the lookout for a nice keyboard case. 😞I prefer using a keyboard with my tablets and had to look for a replacement for my original Smart Keyboard, which has decided to work or not work and freeze up on me. 😏 So, I started looking around on Amazon and found this Mangotek one and based on the reviews decided to purchase it. I’m actually typing this review on it now. Here are my takes on this one:Cons:(1) The keys are hit and miss. I’ll type a letter and it will not register and I have to go back and retype it; TOO many times(2) The case itself feels like cardboard with a cheap vinyl like cover over it. Not sure how long this will last...I’ll update my review should I experience any problems;(3) Back to the keys...they feel a too close, but for the size of the keyboard, it’s the best they could probably do. I took away a star for the number of times that I have to backtrack to get the right key to enter. It misses quite a bit, which slows your typing down;(4) No backlit keys, although it would probably need Bluetooth use to have backlit keys and I wouldn’t like that either; and(5) the iPencil holder is too loose; it will easily slip out, so I’ll have to watch out for this.Pros:(1) Chicklet keys, which I like. However, if you’re looking for quiet keys, these are not;(2) Can fold the keyboard behind for use as a regular tablet;(3) Does not add bulk to the tablet;(4) Function row of keys; although, I don’t know why there is a blank key in the middle 🤔;(5) I like that the tablet fits firmly in the case and I could feel the magnets as I pushed it down into it, and you get a full screen without the tablet being covered at it’s edges. Personally, I like that. 👍🏽;(6) It’s sturdy when connected with the Smart Connectors. At first when I placed it into the case, I thought “Oh no, this is not going to hold”; however, after the second reconnect, it was in there! I guess the magnets had to be activated...I don’t know, but it works great!;(7) All speakers, volume buttons and charging ports are accessible and easy to get to;(8) It has a bumper on both sides to keep the keys from touching the iPad screen 👍🏽;(9) NO Bluetooth connection required!; and(10) It functions like the original Smart Keyboard, but better. How this will hold up, remains to be seen. It seems as though fingerprints and smudges may be a problem too. But, I just received this in the mail about 20 minutes ago, and this is my first time using it, so after some time goes by, and with use, I’ll update as necessary. It actually feels lighter than the original Smart Keyboard. 🥴Based on this review, I would recommend the purchase of this Smart Keyboard.
