Protect your garden, plants and trees from rabbits, voles, hares, chipmunks, squirrels, mountain beaver, nutria, possum and other small rodents. (Also works on deer, elk and moose, however Plantskydd's Deer, Elk Mouse PS-D7 is more ideal). Simply sprinkle granules liberally around plants and trees. Also apply a 1 foot band around the perimeter of plant beds for added protection. Coverage approximately 4,200 square feet. Re-apply as required. 100 percent dried blood (porcine and/or bovine). Unlike bloodmeal based repellents, no animal parts are used in plantskydd. Once plant bears fruit, do not apply onto edible parts of fruit, vegetables or other food crops. Wash fruits and vegetables before eating.

Repelled deer. Hard to apply — just use gloves. Open the bag and broadcast.
I originally gave this product a three star review after the applicator shaker bag failed, and the product did not repel voles as the product advertised. Today I changed the rating to five stars. It proved it has more value repelling deer than voles.Found the remains of a butternut squash and chased two buck deer (still chewing) out of the vegetable garden. I was low on the spray Plantskdd which is effective for repelling deer and all I had left was half of a bag of granules which were three years old.Since I now have chronic carpal tunnel shaking the granules out of the bag is not an ergonomic option for me. So I cut the bag open and used a 6 inch plastic flower pot to broadcast apply. (I apply lime and fertilizers the same way.) The granules fall out through the holes in the flower pot giving a light and fairly even coverage and it works much better than the dysfunctional shaker bag. Worked even better when I put on a pair of garden gloves and just broadcast the granules by hand. Oh duh. Incredibly the three year old stuff worked to deter the deer and kept the damage down to “pruning” the growing tips of a few melons last night. That's OK. Saved me from doing it.Don't know how long it will repel deer. Just had a heavy rain. But I'm impressed enough that the granules did so well repelling the deer for long enough to get more repellent. I will buy this product again in the future. I found it most effective in protecting vining crops, winter squash, melons and water melons. The granules land in the leaves and that works to prevent deer from peeking underneath for something to steal.

Great stuff!
I've battled with squirrels ever since I started growing strawberries. Whenever the fruit starts turning pink, the next day I find it gnawed or gone. Tried a scarecrow snake; didn't work. Tried a fence; didn't work (knew it wouldn't but my wife insisted!) This year I tried Plantskydd granular. You might not be able to tell from the picture, but you open the bag at the top, turn it over and hold it by the handle on the bottom, and then walk around and shake the contents out (inside the opening is perforated). Sprinkled all over the strawberry patch, and a 1 foot wide perimeter around the entire patch, per the directions. One bag took care of my 8' x 8' patch with some left over.Presto! The patch has produced two big pints of berries so far, not a nibble on any of them. It's amazing. In years past I'd be lucky to save one or two from the squirrels. I'm sold! The stuff is supposed to last 3 or 4 months and to be persistent after rain (and presumably watering by me). In my case, that should be more than adequate, as it isn't very many weeks between flowering and picking for strawberries.

a helpful, environmentally responsible product
This is the third year I am using this product. It is easy to use and certainly partially effective. The lovely Echinesia I planted had been attacked by Rabbits and Chipmonks alike. Plantskydd has stopped the feeding by these creatures.I know that, when fall rolls around nothing will stop the hungry hordes but right now with plenty of alternative food, (our unusually moist summerhas provided lots of it), I can enjoy the flowers.I like the fact that this product is not poisoning my soil and even fertilizes the garden. It would help if the opening would be re-designed: The zipper, once opened will not re-close as the product gets in the way of the zipping. As it is I use a bag clip to prevent spilling.

... in my flower beds for several years and am pretty sure they have just multiplied like bunnies
I have been unsuccessfully battling voles in my flower beds for several years and am pretty sure they have just multiplied like bunnies. Various products did not seem to be effective. Since we also have a deer problem, we have previous used the liquid version of this product but it was a nasty, messy, smelly job even though it worked for the deer pests. So I'm pleased to learn about this version for smaller critters that is EASY to apply and doesn't smell to me. But I only used one application just prior to winter so it will be a few months before I can report on its effectiveness for my problem.

I LOVE PLANTSKYDD!!!! For years I have used the Plantskydd deer repellant and it works GREAT! I buy the powdered formla and mix it up as I need it because I have found that the premixed spray can get smelly if you don't use it all at once. Now I buy the granular formula to keep the rabbits (and deer) away. I put it down in the fall when I put my perennial flowers to bed for the winter (I live in Minnesota). I lasts through the winter and keeps ALL the critters away as the new shoots emerge in the spring. I also use the granuals in the spring to reinforce the fall application along with the spray. They both have long term effectiveness EXCEPT for new growth. When you spray, what you spray stays protected, but if too much new growth emerges, it is NOT protected and you need to spray again.

Great for making sure rabbits/squirrels don't take your bulbs
If you're planting bulbs (tulips in particular), this will help prevent most from being dug up by squirrels and rabbits, although you might need to reapply some in October after rain. It won't work in a vegetable garden when the vegetables grow on or above the ground (tomatoes, squash), but it works very well for tulips...been using now for several years with success. I started using the year after the squirrels/rabbits dug up almost every bulb I planted.

Was like a seasoning on my plants for the bunnies.
I purchased said "organic" Plantskydd to rid my back yard of the vermin, also known as adorable bunny rabbits, attacking my dwarf burning bushes and delicate guara plants. I have never made a purchase of this sort on line, but I read the reviews, and basically decided it was a crap shoot.... It was just that, crap. Initially I was thrilled when I saw the gnawed off nubbins of my darling bushes began to sprout... thrilled indeed! But, alas, it was not to be... they came back, enjoying the tender new growth as if it were a delicious salad bar, and they came back for seconds, and even thirds. It worked for about 5 minutes, and then... not sure, maybe the cute little varmints enjoy the sprinkles...As for the packaging, it came in a bag that was easy to apply, turn it upside down and shake, shake, shake, that was kind of handy, but that's about all I "liked" about this product.
