This gives a good foundational beginning to help understand and form a discipleship program. It is not a casual read.

Excellent survey of the evangelical foundations of Christian teaching. For educators who seek to empower students, guided by the Word and Spirit, this is an excellent resource.

This was a required textbook for one of my college courses. I found parts of it interesting. However, I struggled to stay focused in reading the great majority of it. I had trouble finding significant linkages between the chapters. I often times had to go back within a chapter to reread items because transitions were not particularly clear.

As expected

All Christian educators will profit from this resource in terms of preparing them and equipping them with a biblical and theological foundation for understanding the purpose of education from a evangelical perspective.

I have enjoyed this book so far. I have found it a little repetitive but it contact pertinent information for the Christian educator to understand what Christian education is.
