1,001 Series 7 Exam Practice Questions For Dummies

I bought this book and the Series 7 Exam Flashcard Study System for my son to study for the exam. The 1001 Series 7 Exam Practice Questions he did like very much. The Series 7 Flashcards are not exactly "flashcards" as you are familiar with but more cards with a sometimes vague question that is answered essay like answer. With the flashcards, they should of created more specific questions but that being said these two tools did assist him in passing the Series 7 Exam.

While a couple of incorrectly marked answers and some typos here and there prevent me from giving a full 5 stars, these questions prepared me well for the S7 exam which I passed on the first try with an 80%. Make sure to get the companion S7 for Dummies text by Mr. Rice if only for the online practice exams to supplement your study. Good luck!

I used the iPhone app for Series 7 for dummies in conjunction with the STC Materials. I passed the first time with an 84%. I found the App very helpful. The questions were close to the way that they were asked on the actual exam if not a little bit more challenging. It was nice that I could just flip through several questions on my phone while I was waiting somewhere. The test is certainly challenging. The six hours alone is grueling but if you put in the study time you should be able to pass.

It helps to see other questions but you should be warned that the test has changed greatly since these questions were written. Laws have changed and a lot of the questions in this book were not up to date. These questions alone will not prepare you for the type of questions that are on the series 7 but it will test you on the basic underlying concepts. Id highly recommend getting an up to date resource.

I used Kaplan to study for my Series 7, and wanted to get a supplemental book with some extra questions to get a different perspective and see some differently worded questions. All in all I feel like buying this book was a waste of money, and the time I spent working in it a general waste of time. Once I sat the test I realized the questions presented on Kaplan were very close to the questions I encountered on the test, and these weren't so much. However, everyone is different and maybe it is useful to test your knowledge, although I personally wouldn't buy it again if I had it to do over. I passed the test no problem thanks to my other study guides.

Great book with a lot of practice questions. Can't emphasize enough how taking exams not only helped with test-taking but also with understanding complex subjects. Passed the Series 7 with an 85%! This isn't a standalone but is great to carry with you when you have a minute to study. Also look at their site for some great tips and tricks on the exam.

It's a good book, but if you already have a Quiz Bank (from Kaplan or STC) it's really sort of redundant.
