3 Prong T Nut 8-32 x 1/4" (Tee Nut) Qty: 100 Zinc Plated

My local Big Box Hardware store charges $1.09 for TWO of these! I needed 16. No-brainer!I am using these to let me fasten 4 120mm cooling fans to the back of an entertainment-system cabinet. From the inside (it's too heavy to move)! I made a thin plywood template to mark the center and 4 mounting holes for each fan. I have cut 4 3/4 holes with a hole-saw and painted the cut wood black to match the rest of the cabinet. Rather than use wood screws to hold the fans in place on the 1/4" thick cabinet back, I am going to reach through each big hole and push these into the holes. I can then mount the fans from the inside of the cabinet with machine screws. No sharp points protruding through the cabinet back and very easy to access in the future.

If your project allows time, these guys are the place to purchase your hardware.I got this pack of 100 way cheaper than buying the handful I needed via 2-paks at my local store. Now I have plenty left for other projects.Oh, and the quality is great. I built a floor-to-ceiling firewood stand with them a few years ago, and take it apart in the spring and put into storage, then reassemble in the winter for use. These stand up to the constant use.

The base of these tee nuts is considerably larger in diameter than the 8-32 x 1/4 tee nuts typically found in most big box home improvement stores, and that is exactly what I needed - an 8-32 x 1/4 tee nut with a 3/4 diameter base to complete the build-out of a new rear seat base for my airplane.

These worked great! I dont know what else I can say. I had glued them in place. The glue I had used hardened inside the nut. So, the only issues I had with them is where I created my own problems. And where I did not have that issue, everything worked great.

Hardware store was out of this size.

The threads are the correct size, but the base has a larger diameter than what is shown in the picture.

I've been looking for these for a while product was just as described and was delivered on time. I would definately recommend them.
