PELGIO Genuine Stingray Skin Leather Hide Pelt Black (6" x 10")

I got this to redo the tsuka on a katana I got. It is lovely. I also used the scraps to add grip to one of my knives too. Excellent stuff. It looks really good too. The photo doesn't do the knife justice. I sanded down the edges of the scrap cuts so in hand it's super smooth and you cannot feel them at all. It feels seamless.I will be ordering another one in the future! I highly recommend these!!!!

This seems like a good product for a good price, based on what else is here on Amazon. It’s definitely real; you can tell by the smell. I’ve bought it twice and will continue to purchase from this seller.The only problem is that it comes folded up - c’mon guys. Put it on a piece of cardboard and wrap it. The bag it came in was big enough to hold the piece at full length. Other than that, very nice.

I am using this for Japanese Katana handles. With that in mind, the nodes on the ray skin are pretty small, and it is overall very soft and flexible, not the characteristics you would like to have in the ray skin wrapping of a Japanese sword. Perhaps this leather is better suited towards making wallets or other accessories and items.

Pleased with the price and quality. Being unfamiliar with stingray hide,I was surprised by the brilliance of the colors. I used this layered over heavier leathers for a pistol (pearl handles) holster studded with simulated white marble studs. Also a matching magazine pouch.

Fast shipping. Very nice product. Nice finish on back. I would recommend that it not be folded on shipping. Not a big deal but it would be nice if it was flat.
