I had originally bought this for a Memory Stick Duo I'd found in my mum's old digital camera but when it was delivered I'd realised it didn't have a slot for it. However since then I did buy a couple of microSD cards and this USB was perfect for them, it's incredibly fast and reliable. Perfect and very convenient for those who often use MicroSD cards, I found it incredibly ideal for storing pictures from my phone via a USB-C adapter and being able to put it on your keyring is perfect for those who are on the go, barely weights anything too! Is only compatible with SD and MicroSD cards.

Came back to buy a second one, and thought I'd leave my opinion while I'm here. I have just realised this is USB 3.0, as it shows a higher writing speed (38mbs) than a near-identical USB 2.0 reader (19mbs). I want to read and write 4k video files, so USB 3.0 is important. It feels higher quality than the other ones I have, and the cards insert firmly, whether micro SD or standard SD. The best micro SD card reader I have owned, so far.

I'm very happy with this product, it's very small and works exactly as expected. It's easy to carry around, takes no space in the backpack and I use it on trips to backup my camera's SDCard. It's "plasticky", but it's cheap and it works. I don't complain. Not 5 stars because of the way that an SDCard can be in the way of the port of makes it completely unusable in certain circumstances. For example, on my laptop, the 2 USB A are side by side. Depending on which port I use, the SDCard can stop me from using the other port. If I have an external harddrive connected, I need to make a "switch around" to make sure I'm in a configuration where I can use both ports. If I want to use this reader on my NAS, which has its USB ports vertically, the SDCard is pointing downwards, pushing on the desk, which I'm not too much fan about. This is not big trouble and doesn't take away that this product is working perfectly as expected. I'm also mindful that there is no other way that I can think of, other than having a cable, but then it defeats the small form factor of this card reader. It's just something to keep in mind.

I am writing this review four years after buying this card reader. I still use it regularly and it continues to work perfectly. It does exactly what it is supposed to do without any issues. A simple product that has lasted very well over time.

Brilliant. So easy to use. I wanted to see my photos on my laptop but it only has a USB drive. Simply put the SD card from the camera into the stick and put the stick into the laptop and it came up straight away. Very easy to use. Would recommend.

questa è la terza che compro, la seconda l'ho presa per un amico e quest'ultima a causa di uno dei pregi dell'oggetto: le sue dimensioni veramente ridotte, che lo rendono comodissimo da portarsi dietro. Infatti è così piccola che alla fine me la sono persa. Battute a parte, funziona molto bene, è veloce a trasmettere i dati, legge schede SD in formato standard e micro, funziona tranquillamente su computer Windows e Linux, senza installare alcun driver, e costa veramente poco. Consiglio vivamente di usare un lettore del genere piuttosto che collegare la macchina fotografica al computer, perché se a forza di fare attacca e stacca si rovina la presa usb dell'apparecchio, bisogna mandare la macchina fotografica in assistenza, mentre così, al massimo, si sostituisce il lettore di schede.
