Great Value, so fun, great gift potential!
I bought two 50c lots from the "gemmart usa" seller, fulfilled by amazon. There are more than one seller so I thought I would be specific. At the time of review I got them at $10.89 each, with free amazon shipping. If you don't want to read the whole review, in summary: they are great, yes there are flaws, yes I think it's still worth it.In my TWO lots combined (so 100 carats) I got:16 amethyst (mostly large)3 carnelian (large)2 green onyx (large)13 garnet (mostly small ones)14 peridot (mostly small ones)9 smoky topaz (mostly medium)7 blue topaz (small)8 whiteish topaz (large, most had a very very pale blue or greenish hue, they weren't pure white)21 lemon topaz (some large some small. some may be citrine)TOTAL: 93 stones, at @24 cents per stone! (again, I got two lots)Each lot was as described in the listing. I got a good mix of large stones and small stones, but nothing was tiny in my opinion. The largest stones would make a very impressive ring. The smallest stones would be adorable in a shaker locket. There were very few actually damaged stones, damaged in a noticeable way that may hamper using them. The most common defect I noticed was internal cracks. I love them all. I don't have plans to set them in anything, just to collect them, but if you were looking for cheap stones to set in jewelry, I think you will find enough pairs and large stones to make something good. The pictures other posters are showing is about what I received but of course your scoop could be very different! If you will be taking a very close look at each of them and only want the perfect ones, maybe you think it won't be worth it. But it's literally $10.89. To me, it's clearly worth it.When birthday parties are a thing again I think all manner of child would love to have actual "treasure" with value, as party game prizes, loot bag filler, or a super cool treasure hunt in the backyard. Or maybe even burying them in your childs sand box. That would be so cool.

Not what I was expecting, they’re better!
After reading reviews, expectations were low, thankfully what I received was so much better than I imagined! Let me address the concerns first, this is a 50 carat, semi precious gemstone lot... for under $10. Yes they’re going to be small and large stones. If there were ONLY large stones there’d be little variety. I’d much rather have variety than just a few large stones. If you’re like for certain sizes or colors, this isn’t the product you’re looking for, the same company has different products that would better suit you. Second, I didn’t actually have many ‘meh’ stones, almost all of mine were beautiful and to the naked eye, nearly flawless. I haven’t (nor will I be) looked at them under a magnifying glass but they look gorgeous to me! And that’s all that matters, as I don’t think anyone else is going to be coming up to me after I put them in a setting with a magnifying glass to hunt down flaws 🤔 the container they come in is a bit tricky, as others have mentioned, it’s sealed with a small, clear piece of tape but I will say that it only takes opening one incorrectly and having the gems fly all over your floor to open the rest with more care and restraint. I took tweezers, found the edge, and slowly (carefully) peeled the tape off, I then slowly went around the edges with the tweezers while the container was over the box lid that it came in. If you’re careful you shouldn’t have any issues! I plan on letting family members pick as many gems as they’d like and get their own settings for Christmas so everyone wins (and I’ll probably keep a few for myself, too 😉)Not only do I recommend these to anyone on the fence, but I’d recommend everyone that enjoys sparkling things getting at least one of these lots just to have! They’re beautiful, affordable, sparkly, and they just make you feel fancy! 5 stars! Will be getting more, for what? Who knows! But at this price, why not just feel fancy every once in awhile?

Ok for jewelry, perfect for practice, play, or gem collection
The media could not be loaded. I love these! I’m giving this 4 stars because it’s true that there are some scratches and inclusions, so these aren’t ones to buy if you make high end jewelry and want consistent quality. However, most of the ones I received are great! I read the reviews beforehand, and I’m perfectly happy with what I got. I’ve never set faceted stones before, so these will be practice for me. They are perfect for that, as they are a variety of shapes and sizes. I must say I received a lot of teardrops though. The facets aren’t all perfect, but I see only a few glaring errors. I received 35 stones, and I would feel comfortable selling jewelry made with most of them (if I do well setting them). There are only two with so many scratches and/or inclusions that I wouldn’t even wear them. My son collects rocks so he’ll be thrilled if I give him those. I think the variety of gems was pretty good for my order. If you are just wanting these to practice, or for a collection or to play pirate, I say they’re perfect!!!

The viriaty of stones
This is the second time getting this and this time I had less different types of stones. They need to make sure that you get all the stones they have.

Buy them, as long as you read the description.
I have ordered from this company several times now, and been beyond satisfied every time. This batch gave 10 perfectly cut rounds to set and lots of other shapes, as well as plenty of variety in color. For $10 I came out with enough nice cuts to make around $250 profit. You literally are not going to beat these prices. I’m honestly not sure reading the other reviews why people are complaining. It gives you the size ranges, and the variety of stone in the description. I don’t know what people expect for $10 worth of faceted stones but someone had to take the time to clean and cut every single one. There are some off cuts, chips, or inclusions but I find uses for those even. It’s hard to not find value in a pretty flashy stone. You will get plenty of stones to choose from and a good variety at a dirt cheap price. You could gift a vial of these stones to almost anyone and they are going to love them. The surprise of what you’ll get brings back child like joy. Kids would love these things to start collections or even just to play with their little dragon hordes
