XKL2900 220V Car Lift 9,000 LB 2 Post Lift Car Auto Truck Hoist with 36 Months Parts Replacement

So i ordered this lift right before christmas. They actually shipped it fedex freight. I had a place to send it to with a forklift, but fedex is down the street. Changed it to willcall, picked it up and had the lift fully assembled and standing a few hours later. You really dont need much of the directions, dont over think it. Lift is amazing quality, and yes it might be a little scratched from shipping, but come on, even my floor jack is beat up. Look past that and you will be happy about this lift. It is very heavy, so have 3 to 4 friends over to help. We unloaded the arms and hardware out of the pillars, lifted it off the trailer with an engine hoist, them stood it up near where it was to be bolted to the floor. If you are doing this as a home install, an extension ladder and a 10 foot ladder would be best. We anchored the left pillar first. Put the second pillar in place, but not bolted down. Manhandled the cross bar up, then leveled the second pillar. Rest was straight forward.

After ordering the lift I received a call from the seller confirming delivery address and the ability to off load the lift. It is a heavy package at about 1200 lbs. So it takes some equipment to unload. The lift is packaged very nicely and was delivered quickly, actually on the first day of the estimated delivery window. Construction and installation of the lift was very straightforward, although there were a couple of bolt holes that didn't line up completely this was fixed quickly with a drill with a rotary file bit. These were on the upper post section. Everything else went together great and the lift functions properly. Just remember to draw you alignment lines on the floor prior to standing your lift posts, take your measurements and make sure your posts are plumb. This lift seems to be as substantial as any of my bendpak lifts.

I finished the installation of this hoist yesterday and I'm thrilled to have finally gotten one for my shop. I've been a mechanic for all of my adult life (I'm 70) and have wanted one of these all of that time. Bottom line; for the money, this is a good product regardless of its origin. Would I have preferred a U.S. made lift? Of course. But I simply can not afford or justify spending at least twice as much or more on one for my small home shop. Installing this lift had its challenges and if you are not mechanically inclined or have experience with electric and hydraulic equipment, get someone that is to at least help you.Most negative comments/reviews on this product (and probably any foreign made equivalent) are on the "instructions" provided with this product. I can agree, they are poor at best for something this complicated to install. There is a lot of missing information, period, which is why you need to have mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience to assemble this. Even the company video on YouTube is poor with the same missing information. There is one YT video I can recommend from Redline (who sells and installs floor hoists) that was VERY helpful in answering most of the questions I had on how to install this lift. Watch it.First thing; be SURE your concrete floor will support this lift. The description on Amazon recommends between 4-6" depending on how much you plan to lift. Those are MINIMUM requirements! In reality with something like this you are betting your life on, more and reinforced is better. I planned on a lift when I built my shop and had "piers" dug where this went that were probably at least 12" deep. The actual instructions cite 15" of concrete which is over kill for sure for a 10,000# lift but is probably to avoid law suits down the line.Second; the electrical specs cited on the Amazon description are 220V 30A single phase service for the 3HP motor on the lift. The provided instructions are unclear on this point, so if you aren't an experienced electrician, either hire one, or at least get the advice of one. Also, there is a safety switch provided that prevents the vehicle on the lift from going too high. No where in the instructions does it show you how to wire it. Be sure and call the customer service number and ask for that right off the bat, because this must be a frequent complaint as I had a color picture of how to wire it in a matter of minutes from calling customer service.Quality; while there were some aggravating quality issues like holes that weren't quite drilled properly and lousy instructions, this is a very solid and well built product. I have no concerns it is more than strong and safe enough to do what it is meant to do. The welding is good, the material is very sturdy and the paint is well done. The test is how long the pump and motor will last. But it lifted my 4,500# minivan with ease and all systems worked as advertised.Unless you have a forklift that can lift 1,300 pounds (or an equivalent machine) you'll need to have this delivered to a freight terminal that can load it on your trailer or truck, which is what I did and it went very smoothly. The company that sells them handles all that for you if you request it. But you'll still need something capable of lifting the components off your trailer after you have the package disassembled enough to separate the two main big parts. This thing is HEAVY! Everything with it is heavy. You WILL need at least two strong people to lift these columns off the floor and steady/position them in the shop. Again, watch that Redline video. He has lots of good suggestions on that.Customer service; so far, the contact I have had with their customer service has been excellent. I ended up talking with the same lady every time, but she always handled my concerns quickly. Usually in a matter of minutes. If you call and no one answers, she will call you back probably within an hour whether you leave a message or not. I had the lift in my possession in about a week from the order.In closing, my opinion is this is a good tool for a home shop. It's a 4 star rating for the issues I stated above. If I was a commercial shop that would be using this tool every day I doubt I would have bought it. But for my use when the heaviest thing I lift will be my 5,200# pickup, I am very happy with this purchase. So far. Ultimately, time will tell.

Arrived fast, I shipped it right to my home address and just rented a forklift for the day which was 180$ and then 40$ each way to drop it off and pick it back up very fair priced rental if you ask me, unloaded easy with the forklift onto 2 square dollys, wouldn’t use the hardware they provide to install it I would get your own and do some research before installing. It did come with some scratches in certain spots from Shipping , which was expected message the seller and got a fair refund to make up for the scratches that really weren’t too bad and I wasn’t worried about.

This hoist could work for cars. I've had it for a year and a half and they won't warranty any parts. I picked up a 2013 F250 with the power stroke. It bent the arm and sliding table so bad it wedged into the post and wouldn't go back down. The truck was stuck and half way falling off the hoist and it wouldn't go back down until I put a jack under the truck. Over all I'm writing this so everyone knows to use this lift for 4000 and down. Don't but it expecting a 9000lb lift.

Works as advertised. No issues. Watch some YouTube videos to assist installation. Makes doing maintenance on your vehicles a dream.
