Super easy to learn! Wonderful sewing machine for the price!
I own a high-end Janome Skyline and love it, but do not want to take it to sewing events due to it's weight and size. I purchased the CS7205 because it's an easy and light weight machine that I could take with me. On top of that, I did not want to spend a lot of money on a 2nd machine. It does not have an auto thread cutter, nor an automatic knot feature at the end of a stitch, but I knew that before I purchased it, so that is OK. The CS7205 is very easy to set up and thread. Note: I found a video on YouTube showing how to use the auto threader. I slowed the video down to 25% speed. Once I saw how to thread it in super slow motion, I caught on immediately. Once I watched the video one time, it has threaded correctly every time and on the 1st attempt - super quick and easy! It comes with 11 feet, one of which is a foot with a line guide to assist you with sewing in a straight line. It also comes with a walking foot- that alone can cost someone anywhere from $40.00 to $60.00 by itself. The stiches come out nice and even. This machine is super easy to use and the directions are well written. I use it to sew light to medium weight garment fabrics, so I most likely will not use the vast array of stiches. This is a great machine for a beginner or advanced beginner; super easy to use. I use it to sew dresses and skirts. Love it! The first night I owned it, I created a stich map of every stitch I thought I would use and numbered each one according to the stitch chart on the machine. It's nice to have an actual stitch reference to look at when needed.

69 Year Old Female Happy to Be Put To Shame
If I could give a ten star review for this product I would do so. I'll try to be brief with this review but I make no promises. . I am a 69 year old female who has been sewing since pterodactyls flew and thats a hell of a long time. I have owned and managed to burn out several top of the line machines including the Viking #1+ , Bernina 880+ the Bernina 750 and Bernina 450, Pfaff 1475CD. They functioned well with the exception of Bernina (supposedly the gold standard..I have gone thru three of them) So...I finally purchased a Juki Industrial machine however it does nothing but straight stitch and I am a garment sewer and unless you wish to live in caftans which rarely require a buttonhole I needed another machine and so I took the plunge .... What a revelation ... This little gem of a machine has every feature of the top end machines, sews a wonderful stitch, is quiet and is so very easy to learn and operate especially after going through all of the customizing and digitizing software packages I had to learn for the embroidery on the aforementioned machines. Not a job for the faint of heart. I also taught sewing machine "how to" and software for Viking Husqvarna for many years. I sew most everything I wear ( I get bored ) and sew nearly everyday so my machines take a beating. Why I never considered an inexpensive machine is beyond my level of comprehension. I guess thinking more expensive meant better results..well it doesnt and figuring I dont have a lifetime of sewing still ahead of me I 'd take the chance of the Brother machine before investing in yet another very expensive machine . Hold your breath.... a new top of the line Bernina will cost you the staggering and shameful price of $23,000. I think manufacturers think women are ignorant and easy targets. I could purchase a new car for the price of some of these new machines especially when adding all of the extras I of course, always had to get...especially feet and embroidery supplies. I digress... this little machine came with nearly every foot I use consistently even a walking foot which can cost you a cool $100. This machine is only two hundred dollars and this foot is included? Are you getting the picture? I am thrilled with this machine and its accessories. I know how tempting it is to think buying more expensive leads to better sewing but I can assure you it does not. Perhaps if I stop sewing long enough I can upload a video along side this review but I wouldn't count on it. So..in conclusion you will not find a better value for your dollar. Thank you Brother for offering a great product at an unbelievable , reasonable and affordable price ( you now have no excuse to not sew) you deserve a gold medal.

Great stitches, quiet and lightweight!
This has the best buttonhole assortment I’ve ever had on a machine. Great for thin and heavier fabrics. They are very understitching is as good as the upper stitch so I can sew from the underside as well and be more accurate. Fast bobbin winder! I was an S….. person for years and found this machine even better. It’s quiet and lightweight as well. For the price you need to get it!

Top quality and a pleasure to use
I love love love this machine. I trust this brand. my old Brother sewing machine is 40 years old and still works perfectly. I only bought this machine for the upgardes and to treat myself, and it was so worth it. Runs smoothly, its quite and I love all the stitch options and self threader. A pleasure to use!

Good purchase
This is my 3ed Brothers machine. The price is good and the variety of stitches is very nice. Only problem is the plastic parts do wear out.

It 's ok
This machine is pretty good but does not compare to my previous Brother machine. It works fine but the needle threader is very hard to use. Also, it doesn't alert you when you run out of thread either top or bottom. You just keep sewing along and wasting your time without any thread. It does beep in reverse like a truck does, I don't know why it has that feature. If my finger is on the reverse button I know it is going backwards. It is light enough to carry around but heavy enough to stay steady on the table. The trouble shooting guide isn't much help.
