I chose this particular cable because from what I read, CAT 7 is the most effective. This cable was available in the length I needed and the color was the least obtrusive. It works just fine. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I'm not technically proficient enough to discern subtle differences in performance.

The extra cost of these CAT7 cables are definitely worth it considering how CAT8 is already being forecasted at the moment and these offer extra shielding for the individual twisted strands meaning less cross-talk and better signal integrity. I originally shied away from flat patch cables because I imagined how much they would be a pain to route, but I now see how much easier it is to work with them in tight spaces and sharp bends.

Nice, flat and compact, I replaced a looong bright blue cable with this and it look and works great. Now, if I could only corral my other cables.

Using this cable, it was a noticeably faster connection to my wireless modem. The flat design allowed me to easily tuck it between the kick board trim and the carpet without tearing the carpet up.
