Good Product
It is exactly what I needed to haul paddle boards on top of a truck or any type of vehicle. I was able to transport three paddle boards stacked on top of each other.

Folding Lightweight Roof Rack pad for Caneo
If your canoe is no wider than 35", this would work perfectly. The padding is sufficient & installation is extremely easy. I would 100%. Simply didn't work for me as my canoe is 36" & wouldn't safely rest on the pads.

Great product. Order some ratchet straps too.
I bought this because I am going from a truck to a car, but only for about a year. Long story. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on towers and clips to have a "real" rack, so I figured I would give this a shot. My only complaints are that the instructions aren't translated well, and I didnt use the buckle straps that came with it to strap the kayak. I used some ratchet straps. I just drove 225 miles slowly building up to 75 MPH with my 12' kayak on the roof. Very satisfied. I highly recommend.

Solves that problem of needing extra racks while ferrying from down river
I have Thule kayak racks on my car and they work great. But the problem arises when we do river runs and leave a car at the take out point because we only have one set of racks. So, instead of buying a whole new set of expensive racks just for those rare days, this rack pad solved it. I tried it yesterday and it went on easy enough and the kayaks stayed nice and tight for the trip back up the river on the car. Then they come right off in a few minutes and back in the bag and right in the trunk...takes up very little space. I wish I had bought these years ago.

Using this to transport large pop up canopy on a sedan!
I recently sold my truck and was trying to figure out how to transport a large pop up canopy using my Honda Accord without having to install a roof rack....then I came across this removable option! It worked perfectly! The ad shows surf boards and ladders etc but I bought it anyway thinking it was worth a try. My pop up canopy is housed in a bag and the whole thing weights roughly 80lbs. Well below the weight limit of 400 recommended on the instructions. I had it strapped on and ready for a road test in about 20 minutes. It will certainly take me much less next time as this was my first time using clamping straps.I hit the road for a test and it was solid! I rounded a few corners going pretty fast to see if it would slide and it didn’t budge. I also stopped suddenly and accelerated quickly to see if that would make is shift but again it didn’t budge. Lastly I took it on the highway and hit 70 MPH and the only thing that happened was a loose strap end was causing noise. I pulled over, stacked it in the door and the problem was solved.I totally recommend this!

A good, inexpensive option for occasional kayak or canoe transport
The pads in this set work very well for transporting a kayak or canoe on top of your car without buying a full roof rack system. The pads are thick and durable enough to keep the boat well away from your rooftop and are much easier to deal with than pads that fit onto parts of the boat, especially when putting the boats up onto the car. They are big enough to go fully across the top of my SUV and fold up conveniently for storage. There is one downside to the system - the straps go inside the car and, if there is a downpour, they will drip inside the car. Thus it's best to take them off when not in use. But they are terrific if you don't have a roof rack system and don't want to spend hundreds to get one. I highly recommend these.

Would be a 5 but not all the parts were in the box.
Mine didn't include the loop pieces that you put in your hood so I purchased Shoreline Marine Propel Hood Trunk tie-Down Loops. I used the product for the first time today and it was very easy to use. I have a 12 foot very heavy board and a tiny little car and it did exactly what I needed it to do. Worth the price!!!

Great for Sedans with Sunroof
Initiuhad trouble but I didn't read the instructions so that's on me. Works really great in place of roof racks on my Kia Optima for my lifetime tamarack angler kayak. Held my kayak on curvy back roads going down and up hill no problem. My car has a sun and moon roof and it did not affect it at all. Would definitely recommend for anyone my wanting roof racks on your car or truck.
