If you frame your sea fan, we recommend using a frame with a clear glass or pure white backing for some amazing results!
- [CUSTOMIZABLE SHAPES]: Sea fans, like snowflakes, are each unique and beautiful - no two sea fans are exactly the same. What we provide is a natural, unpainted, and flat 17” x 13” sea fan so that artists can customize the size and shape according to their own specifications. Please note that edges of the sea fans are trimmed to fit a 17”x14” mailing container to provide as much sea fan material as possible. You can further trim the sea fan for aesthetics or to fit into a specific frame.
- [DIY TOOLS & TIPS]: In addition to our dried natural sea fans, here are a few items you might need to frame a sea fan: a bottle of fabric dye or a can of matte spray, a saw or a pair of wire cutters to trim the sea fan to fit your frame, and a sleek metal frame (either with glass backing or with a white poster board backing). Many artists like creating colored sea fan frame sets with 2 to 4 frames in each set, so try it out and see how it looks in your home or office!
