Quantum Storage Systems WR54-2436C Starter Kit for 54" High 4-Tier Wire Shelving Unit, Chrome Finish, 24" Width x 36" Length x 54" Height

This shelving unit is a smaller version of two other kits I had previously purchased. Assembly depends on two-piece tapered compression sleeves that loosely attach to the poles and shelves slide downward over each sleeve. The downward pressure of the shelves lock each shelf in place and provide a sturdy surface that will support a lot more weight than I intend to put on it. The adjustment points on the bottom are a tight fit and may require a little force to attach, but it is not difficult. Just make sure the adjustment bolt is removed from the inside of the pole before you do. Mostly intuitive assembly helps, and since I measured the available space, I found this to be a perfect fit.

The shipping box was dirty and beat up, but it didn't have substantial holes in it. Nonetheless, it contained just the 4 shelves and bag of parts - no poles. There should have been 4 poles to mount the shelves on. I initiated a return, replaced by the same item. Hopefully the replacement will have come with the poles.

I bought two sets of shelving a few years ago, for my garage and for a closet.I was happy initially, but the shelving in the garage is pretty rusty now.

This is a heavy unit. It looks nice once it's put together. I am a bit concerned that the shelves tend to slide a bit, so they never look perfectly level and I am not sure how they would hold if you put heavy weight stuff on them - so buyer beware, the maximum shelf weight may not be accurate. I use it to hold lighter weight items and have had no problems so far. The packaging was inadequate. Things were falling out of the box when I received it and it looked like the box had been in storage somewhere for a long time. It was dry, banged up, and dirty looking. Amazon sells their own brand of shelving units and the quality is much better. They didn't have the size I needed, so I purchased this one instead. My rating reflects that anyone buying this unit is probably looking for something very sturdy that will hold heavy stuff, and this unit may not fit that bill.

I wish it came with leveling feet or a least top & bottom caps. Good quality, easy to assemble.

Very functional, good looking unit. We are using it in our linen closet and it is sturdy and spacious enough to handle a variety of odd-shaped items(with the 18-inch selves). We recommend having two people for the assembly especially the larger units like ours. Our unit was delivered in three separate packages: two containing 2 shelves each and the third with the legs. The package with the legs was open on one end when delivered, but all parts were still inside. It was delivered on time as promised. We will definitely buy Quantum shelving again when needed.

The shelves look sturdy and great, but shipping arrived with missing parts and the box was open. Seems a waste to return the whole thing when I just need two of the feet for the bottom of the poles, but it's not clear on who to contact.

Totally as advertised. Great quality. Very sturdy. Worth the investment. Got the heavy duty caster wheels with brakes. Perfect combo. Put together in just a few minutes.
