Installing batteries. I’ve seen a lot of people having trouble. Hope this helps. There is NO thread. You just get a tight grip (I removed the clear glides) and wiggle it with a lot of strength to pop the head off. It’s just super tight with rubber rings holding it on. Picture posted.

Very cool pool toy the suction cup didn't work very well on concrete pool bottom but shoots outa water decently my 6 yr old loved it

This shark is one of the coolest tub/pool toys I have ever seen. I definitely recommend this product. As a matter of fact I'm going to have to buy at least one more for myself LOL. No but on a true note I would definitely recommend this product the if you're looking for something fun for the water. It's awesome and the kid that received it absolutely loves it. It appears to be very well made also. It's exactly what I was looking for.

I purchased this and another set of squid toys from a different brand and the quality difference is obvious. This brand's quality is much better in terms of smoothness of the rubber, the coloring on the squid head, the weight and feel and size of the toy is all better. While it was more expensive as a toy, it was worth it for the higher quality. But I also think you can get this at Target for $1 less if I remember when doing research, but it was just easier to have it delivered to my door via Amazon than getting to Target in my particular situation. Would recommend this toy.

To be honest, I had pretty low expectations. Before we put them in the water, it didn't appear that these did a whole lot. We used them in a pool and my kids had a blast chasing them around. Once submerged, they dive and race away. We used them for days and never had to put in new batteries. As far as durability, these survived a weekend with my two young boys.

Put in he pool and my little girl loved it !!! That shark can swim!! She was chasing it all over the pool. ( it was a 10 ft round pool 30 in deep so no danger of getting over her head )Takes a pretty good pull to get the body separated to access the battery holder. WARNING!! The tiny screw holding the lid on the battery compartment is NOT captive. I found out and spent a good 10 mins searching the kitchen floor for it.It takes 2 AAA batteries. I used generic dollar store AAA batteries in it and it lasts about 2 hours on them. I would think that using better batteries would make it last longer. Instructions do not recommend rechargeable due to "reduced performance." No idea what that means. I generally use rechargeable ones so I may give them a shot. Batteries, good ones, can get pretty pricey if you need to change them every 2 - 4 hours over the summer swim season.

It is a great toy, I wish it were larger, but the toy itself is great. My only problem is it’s not very durable. In the last year, we have had to purchase three of them because they randomly stop working or if hair gets in the rotor it won’t move. I have tried my hardest to fix it after realizing it’s broken and my son is upset, but once it’s done, that’s it. It’s priced well, so I think I may just have to start buying multiples. I hate that they don’t last long, but it is a great pool toy

So I bought this for my grandson to use in our pool and we have spent months playing with this toy and it works really well. It does pick up loose long hair in the pool that wraps around the motor so you have to take it out periodically and clean that off and then it's like brand new all over again. I recommend this toy
