What size bolts/screws did you use to attach headboard to frame? Thanks!!!

Holes for connecting to metal bed frame are 8mm (5/16") & 5mm (3/16"); panel is 16mm (5/8") thick; you'll need to have bolts long enough to go through panel and through metal bed frame

Would this headboard work with the prepac captain's platform storage bed with 12 drawers?

It could work but it will be short in relation to the bed and may look odd. Things to consider: The headboard is 48"high and the platform for the mattress 21"h. And then add an 8-10" mattress. In the photo of this headboard, the platform of the the beds was 15"h

What color is this headboard? It says gray, but looks brown.

The headboard color is more on the brown color, just like the image.

Does the headboard need to be attached? I have a Brimnes bed from Ikea and would like to use this headboard.
