Funny and Enjoyable!
I wasn't sure about this book when I first borrowed it from the library, but after reading it to my granddaughter, we both thought it was funny and had a good laugh! Such a wonderful story! The Stevens sisters did not disappoint and they continue to give us lovely storylines and beautiful illustrations.

Classroom children loved the book
Reviewed the topic of “mammals “ prior to the reading. Able to touch on the subject of sadness as experienced by the bear. Book easy to dramatized. Children often yelled out it was a water melon but I insisted it was a donkey egg. Hence a great commotion when the egg rolled and broke.

Buy this book!
This book is such a joy to read with my kids and a perfect sequel to Tops and Bottoms. We love Janet Stevens so I didn't even read this book before purchasing this book and I'm so glad I didn't! I read it the first time with my kids and we all had a good laugh. It's now a favorite in our house.

Great book! My students loved the illustrations, funny folk tale story line & LOVED all of the fun facts!

A fun story!
This is a wonderful story for children . Bought this book for friends granddaughter for her fifth birthday but my granddaughter who is 10 loved reading the story. The illustrations are excellent. Janet Stevens is one of my favorite authors when it comes to children stories. This book is also full of facts and it’s just a fun story to read! The book Tops and Bottoms is also a wonderful story!

Love this Illustrator,and Author Tops and Bottoms is one of my favorites.Glad they hadn't changed Bears wingtips.

This is a great read-aloud children's story book. It has a diferent flavour than the author's other book, Tops and Bottoms, but great nonetheless.

Purchased the book for grandchildren, as we have donkeys at the farm. Very cute story and beautiful pictures
