Nextbook 8" Android 4.0 Dual Core 8GB Tablet PC, Black

I absolutely love this little beauty. I see the price has come down $10, since I purchased mine, but even at what I paid, the Nextbook is a true-blue bargain, kicking the tar out of the iPad. If you want to spend a ton of money for extras, get an iPad, but for me, this tablet does everything I want or need, and at a fraction of the cost. Two things I wish were better, however, are its battery life and recharging time. At five hours, the battery life is somewhat short. I always recharge after a use, anyway, so the extra time for this is no big deal. Despite these failings, for my purposes, I am completely satisfied with this product.Update: I just knocked off one star to '****'. Battery life has further shortened noticeably, and it was already sub-par to begin with. One hour of constant use has become too little time now, between constantly-needed recharges. Some very negative reviews for this device have been based on issues the tablet is totally innocent of committing. Wi-Fi connection has been a problem only once for me, out of many many other attempts. I have a fast 100 Mps at home, and the tablet reflects this fact nicely, with very acceptable load times and processing. Slow speed equals slow device, which is obvious to most people with a working brain cell (but not all, apparently). It's like blaming the family dog for breaking wind, when you know full-well who actually 'dealt it'...

Be sure to check where you buy this from...I thought when I purchased mine it was through amazon not a seller like BARGIN WAREHOUSE ONLINE...DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Mine started to freeze often after a month...they only take responsibility within 14 days. When I called to use the warranty I was informed when i sent this link that this was not a NEXTBOOK but rather a SOPHIX Digixmedia TAB 840G! I was ripped off and nobody stepped up to help not even the folks from the warranty..now I have to file a dispute with my credit card company and all they had to do was send me a new one or refund the money even though it was out of the time frame. If you want cheap and aggravation well this wannabe nextbook is for you!

I ordered this for my 9 year old daughters birthday and she loves it! The only thing is it has a constant glare, don't really know what that's about. Then it is thicker than the one I seen in Walmart which was one of the reasons why I ordered it. You have to constantly reconnect it to the internet. Overall it's a good product for the price.

I wanted something lightweight, yet powerful enough to do what I wanted. The screen size is more than adequate for web browsing, emailing, and keeping in touch with family and friends.

It was very easy to get set up and running. Downlaoded games for my grandson and he had a blast, very nice graphics and great size. My grandson just loves it!

I sent it back because the screen was scratched up. I did not realize that in the comment section that is what it detailed I never would have purchased it if I had read the comments.

Nice screen works perfect the processor is fast no buffering watching videos. I bought this as a gift but I want one for myself

Perfect for me...a gift for myself during the holiday season. My husband loves it as well as we share during our moving watching gigs.
