can i remove the fasteners completely and put my own screws and nuts in? I other words,I want to clear all 4 holes(2 on each plate of keysmart's body)

Yes, it’s possible to use your own screws but they’d have to be the right size at very least. Keysmart uses screws that are smooth on the outside and screw into each other. This allows smooth swiveling of the keys. They also have nearly flush heads to minimize snagging. It could be difficult but not impossible to use other types of screws. Good luck!
