Hand Held Battery Operated Vigil Candle for Caroling Church Services and Candlelight Night Vigils

I bought a single candle just to see if I liked it (I need about 50).The candle works well and is a bright amber color. It flickers, too, which was a nice surprise! (I saw mixed reviews on this). I left the candle on for about 10 hours and it was still going strong, so the battery seems to last long. Being able to replace the batteries straight out of the package would be awesome, but my husband figured out a pretty easy way to pop the bottom off to replace them.Unfortunately, it is too small for what I need it for. I am creating a floating candles effect (like from Harry Potter) for Halloween, and they just didn't look quite right...the stick is too small (length and width) and the "flame" is huge and unrealistic (which wouldn't bother me so much if the stick was a bigger size).I give it 4-stars because despite the candle not working out for my purposes, it works well, is as described and pictured, and the shipping was on-time. Overall great price for a good product.****UPDATE****When I bought this item it was $1.49...it is absolutely not worth $3.00. Bumped down to 2 stars from 4 because of this.

We hung these from the ceiling for our wedding and they lasted for WEEKS afterwards. It was awesome. However, the little black product logo (not shown in main photo) was really annoying and detracted from the nice clean white look. Also, it really sucks that you can't replace the batteries, because these are still hanging in our house and I would have to spend ages hanging new ones if I wanted the effect again. If I could only replace the batteries, it would be so easy!

I needed some hand held battery operated candles for the children playing prophets in our Christmas Pageant. In the past,other candles had broken easily in the hands of my young actors. These Vigil Candles were a big improvement. They held up well, and none were broken. I'm delighted I can use them again next year. The Hand Held Battery Operated Vigil Candle worked well in the Christmas Pageant I directed at our church. It's fairly sturdy, so the children weren't able to break it as easily as other batter candles I've used in the past. The only drawback is that the price on these candles really jumped in the space of one year.

Great if you need to use in a building that does not allow lit candles.

I bought these to hand out to our Sunday School kids on the first Sunday of Advent, and included a tag that explained Advent so they would understand why we light the candles on the wreath. They loved the candles, and the parents were pleased with a safe, low-maintenance object lesson gift. Everything was nicely packed and the candles were delivered in a timely fashion. I recommend this vendor.

I bought these originally as props for a play, and they are so perfect I bought more 2 years later. They held up to 20 children using them for their intended purpose, as well as using them for lightsabers when they thought I wasn't looking. Definitely recommend.

They are good. Yes, they do have a black label on them. They are better than most that I have seen.
