My 5 year old daughter loves it
My 5 year old daughter loves this camera. I bought this for her for Christmas and at first when she opened it she wasn't very impressed. But after I took it out of the packaging and she started playing with it she loves it. She loves playing the games it has on it. She will play on it for hours at a time. She doesn't ever use the eye sights that are on it to take pictures. She always uses the lcd screen to line up the picture and take it. I will say it took her a little bit to get use to not touching the lcd screen to control things. She has a tablet so she has gotten use to using touch screen I guess and her first response using this camera was to touch the screen to control things. So I had to spend a little time showing her the buttons and how to use them but after a few minutes she was using it no problem. She also loves the fact that she can flip the lens over and take pictures of herself. The pictures are ok in my opinion I mean it's a kids camera so they don't need to be spectacular. I would compare the picture quality to a basic flip phone style cell phone camera. But like I said that's perfect for a kids camera and the pictures look clear on the screen on the camera.

Super fun birthday gift
I purchased this camera for my daughter's 4th birthday. She loves taking pictures with my phone, so I thought this would be a fun gift idea for her (and I can have my phone back!). The camera is a HIT! Super easy to use that even her little sister can turn it on. She loves taking "fun pictures" that feature things like funny hair. The lens rotates, so it is very user friendly for a child wanting to photograph something else or take a selfie. It has tons of onboard memory and you can also insert a memory card. The camera is very sturdy and although we haven't had any drops (yet), it should hold up pretty well if dropped on the floor. It automatically shuts off if not in use for a period of time, saving the batteries. The battery compartments are very easy to open, so I do wish they were childproof and required a screwdriver to open. I think that would be wise, since the target audience is children.

It seems expensive for what it actually is..
so far so good....69 days down. 5 and a 6 year old are loving their cameras. they seem very durable. the picture quality leaves a lot to be desired, but daytime, outdoors, they are great. a lot of functions and options on the camera too. went through 4 AA batteries in about 60 days.

Very happy with this product and I believe she will use ...
A birthday present for our six-year-old, who used it on a family vacation. Very happy with this product and I believe she will use it for a couple more years for sure, assuming it holds up. PROS: despite being only 2 megapixels, takes pretty clear pics even with shaky hands. Surprisingly long battery life (takes 4 AAs), and the batteries are really easy to change - no screwdriver needed. Fun effects and "stamps" to put in pictures, which she enjoyed playing with. The lens swivels front to back, which takes the guesswork out of taking "selfies." I thought the two-window viewfinder was a nice touch for kids, but she's so used to using a screen that she doesn't use the optical viewfinder. The controls and buttons were easy to figure out and it's easy to replay and delete pictures. Surprisingly good internal memory - she took 175 pictures and a couple videos without running out of memory. We didn't buy a memory card, but it also accepts microSD cards. Tough design - will withstand some dropping and abuse. CONS: The zoom function is fun to play with, but pixellates the pictures pretty badly because of the low resolution - trying to convince her not to use the zoom was pointless. The video function limits videos to 1 minute - which she expressed displeasure with, but which I am OK with. Biggest con for me: the "game" function. Why does every kid-oriented product have to have a game function? We very deliberately aim to keep mind-numbing handheld games out of our kids hands, but it seems like they are becoming a necessary evil.

Great toy
For a toy, it takes good photos. My daughter is three and she is pretty rough with things. She almost completely destroyed my camera (time for a replacement anyway, I didn't mind) but this camera has held up very well. We have had it for about three weeks now. It was simple enough for her to figure out. She loves taking pictures and seeing the results. Who knows, it might become part of her career in the future. The only downside is the batteries are not built in, it needs two AA batteries. I have replaced them once already, but she takes a lot of pictures. I think I will get some rechargeable batteries to cut down on cost.

All 3 of my kids have this camera and love it! They are ages 2
All 3 of my kids have this camera and love it! They are ages 2, 5 and 7. It takes pictures, in lots of different modes so you can make it different colors, a wacky view, etc. You can also play with the pictures after, and zoom in, change the colors, etc. In addition to pictures, there are lots of games to play. This is kind of like having a smartphone but not worrying about them making calls or texts. These cameras keep them busy in long car rides, flights, you name it! Highly recommend for kids of all ages.

Awesome toy!
Okay so this is obviously not the most high quality camera ever for taking amazing photographs, but it's perfect for kids. So entertaining and fun, lets them take pictures and selfies and play games with their face on the game character. A great first camera, easy to use and durable and fun. The battery life is great now that I figured out it needs four batteries instead of two. My daughter plays with it daily, including the games and we haven't had to change them very often.

Perfect camera for kids!
This is the best kids camera I've seen. I love how the lens is set so deep inside the shroud that little kids can't fit their fingers inside it to smudge or damage it. My child loves taking pictures with it and I think it's much better than giving them the smart phone. The case is nearly indestructible and has survived numerous drops and even exposure to a little moisture (rain, spilled drinks). The large hand holds allow kids to stabilize the camera enough to get some pretty decent photos. I attached a neck strap so it's easier for them to carry... just make sure the strap can separate to prevent accidental strangling. The micro SD port is great for expanding the storage capacity.
