As a longarmer, I like to practice my designs before I try to do them on a quilt. I do all my quilting free hand so practicing a design until I'm comfortable is very important. This can take a lot of fabric and batting... which costs money. This vanish thread acts and feels just like regular 50 weight thread. It sews beautifully and once you get the tension on the bobbin set, it makes a beautiful stitch. I made two "quilts" that I'm able to use over and over to practice my designs thus saving quite a bit of money on fabric and batting. And a spool lasts a long time. JUST BE SURE TO TAKE THE BOBBIN OUT WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH IT! It really does wash away with just the least little bit of water! And pulling the top thread out so easily is so satisfying! Anyway... I highly recommend this thread for any temporary sewing you might need to do!

Spool is generous size (1500 yards). Easy to use and great for temporary seams. Thread dissolves once it is wet.

A great thread for basting or using to do the beginning of trapunto work. It isn’t invisible, very easy to see when you are using it-yet totally dissolves without a trace when washed or comes in contact with any liquid. When using it for hand sewing, knotting the thread can be a challenge. I never realized how handy it was-so glad I bought the big spool.

If it dissolved in cold water, it would be about perfect. I have to wait for the hot water, then it does fine. Patience is not one of my virtues.

This product arrived very quickly for which I was thankful as I am working on machine embroidery and was quickly running out! This is an excellent product that is strong enough to use without it breaking.

Great product! Absolutely the solution I was looking for. Good value; spent more and got less before finding this product. I can see many sewing uses as well as technical uses. Will likely always have a spool in the sewing room.

This is a must-have item. I do my own quilting on my embroidery machine.I stitch the quilt sandwich together with this thread and then quilt it on my embroidery machine.This thread washes out and the beautiful quilting is left for all to admire.I always have an extra cone of this on hand!

this is an excellent product to use with embroidery making fringe. I have also used it to sew pieces of water soluble stabilizer together to use in a LARGE hoop.

This thread helped me out many times. It dissolves well. You want to make your stitches a bit bigger than usual so that you don't end up with any residue. I used it in my freehand machine embroidery pieces.
