I needed some way to turn my resonator guitar into a dobro, and ordered based off of the one review with the image of how it looked on his guitar. It works perfectly!

fun little trick to make one of my guitars more like a dobro style or slide style guitar. Easy to install, fit great seems to be of quality material and had the correct string spacing. Compared with other options to achieve the same sound, you can't go wrong with this option.

This extension fits most acoustic guitars (and some electrics) nicely. It raises the strings high enough to avoid conflict between the radius of the fretboard and the frets with the slide. It is not designed for mixed slide and fret guitar work, just for straight slide, though that can be flat in your lap as a lap steel with the steel held in front of the guitar, or in a more typical guitar position, with a round tube steel positioned from below, as the hand would be for fretting. This extension works as well as the brand name version, in fact it’s all but identical to it.

The seller is clearly either confused or inconsistent, because their photo does not match the product (-1 star for that). The good news (for me) is that the item they sent me is exactly what I was looking for. It fits over the nut on my guitar (a Recording King parlor acoustic) well enough. There's a radius on the inner edge that makes it rest against the fretboard without any movement. And the grooves are wide enough for the 12s I have on it now, and look like they'll work for somewhat heavier gauge strings. No complaints - it does what I needed it to do.

I recently got on the slide kick and these make modifying a electric/ acoustic so easy without modifying the guitar.

Value for money. An experimental venture but turned out success.
