Danalock V3 BTZE w/adj. Cylinder Set

This is a really good product when you take into account we are still quite early in the life of smart home locking solutions and his is a wireless product. Reliable (although ensure you have the settings correct)Easy to install, if a little fiddly. Again, just follow the instructions to the letter. It is worth noting that although this would work to unlock a lift lever upvc door, it wouldnt lock without having to lift the handle manually. Mine is installed on a 45mm composite door with a winkhaus cobra multipoint lock. I tried it with the AV2 autolock but it wasnt quite right so replaced the AV2 with a cobra.Integrates well with alexa and smartthings. Mine is configured with a door contact to lock automatically when the door is closed and also set up as part of a routine to lock lasting at night (just to ensure it hasn't been left unlocked)I have the danabridge to allow additionally functionality but I dont think this is really necessary.One thing to note is that the keys are super expensive to get additional ones cut... around £40 per key.

I've been using this lock for around 12 months, and so far, it's been working well. The initial installation and setup process is generally straightforward; although, some DIY and tech knowledge will help.There are three ways to use this lock. Either directly via the app using Bluetooth, remotely through a Danabridge, or remotely with smart functionality including Alexa integration through a Z-Wave/Zigbee compatible hub. I use and would highly recommend a SmartThings hub (now sold as Aeotec) as it gives you complete control of the lock both locally and remotely. Also, provided you have Alexa - you can utilise voice commands and routines.I have everything working as it should, and as of yet, I've experienced no hiccups with the Android App nor hardware. Talking of hardware, The lock is is impressive and made to a very high standard. It's very stylish too!Highly recommended!

It's a futuristic lock, easily installed that opens via your phone.It can be programmed to open for 3 phones, in case you have guests, but i haven't tried this.Also, if your phone battery is dead, you can always open with the key.Good gizmo5 stars

-Installation went smoothly, and the app (bluetooth functionality) worked as expected. But the Z-Wave was finicky at best.-Not sure if it is my SmartThings Hub or the device, but the lock is about 8 to 10 meters (with a couple of walls in the middle) away from the hub and it took me several attempts to connect to the device. After that, 9 out of 10 times the command to lock-unlock the device failed, also the SmartThings reported the wrong state (locked while it was unlocked). Done the experiment with me trying to change the state of the lock from my work and my wife at home checking it.-Also got connected using S0 security protocol (ZWAVE_S0_DOWNGRADE) to my hub (instead of S2 [Z-Wave Plus]), but I think this is a problem with my SmartThings Hub.-Other than that I am disappointed to say that I was expecting a keypad to arrive as well (it is in one of the pictures), which is not a little thing as it affected my judgement on buying the device.So I have deducted 3 points to the product, 2 for the z-wave functionality (As I want to be able to access and control the device from far away and use the automation functionality, but currently that is unreliable) and 1 for them not including the keypad. I will update the review if the company fixes the issues with the Z-Wave via a firmware.Update 1: Got the hub a little bit closer and now the connection is more reliable (It would have been better if I had some other Z-Wave devices around), but the problem remains with the state of the lock. As the lock state does not get updated, for example when someone unlocks the lock with a key (it should report back the state once it senses that the mechanism has been rotated, other locks do it) . Bumped the stars to 3, but is still unreliable, not sure if I am going to keep it, I may have to exchange it with the Zigbee version .Update 2: I was able to make the lock to report the correct state when locked with the key, the trick is to calibrate the lock manually, as the automatic calibration gives a wider range , and when locking manually (with the key) the rotation stops earlier than with the automated calibration.So to make the states more accurate for your locks unlock with your key go to the app and choose manual calibration then choose unlocked state, do the same with locking it (lock the door with the key and in the app choose lock state) and lastly test the states to make sure that your lock locks/unlocks correctly.With that, I would have given the lock 3.5 stars, but the software needs further improvement to make it a solid 4.

Perfectly fitted on installed cylinder from the old Danalock V2. Setup was super easy. And have to admit that V3 works much better. Very fast rotation.
