iPad Air 2 Case, Apple iPad Air 2 Cover, rooCASE Executive Portfolio Genuine Leather Stand Folio with Card Slots (Smart Cover Auto Sleep/Wake) Red (will NOT fit New iPad 2017)

I purchased this item back in january, it has been good at doing its job, but the "leather has begun to peel off 5 months later, and the metal rippers have broken. i purchased this case so that i could toss it in my back pack and take it to school on a daily basis and my iPad would be protected and i would have a case that lasted at least a year. It protected my iPad well enough, and the stench that is mentioned in the previous posts eventually faded after a couple of months, but a month into owning the case, the red started to rub off on the sides, and then a couple of weeks ago one of the metal zippers broke, it wasn't an issue because its double zipped. now that the other metal zipper broke, the case is useless. if you want a case that will last through daily use, i wouldn't recommend this. but if you are looking for a case that looks pretty, and you keep it from touching the inside of a back pack or purse with other items in it, this is not the case for you. i am disappointed that the zipper broke so quickly. it looks heavy duty and feels heavy duty but that is deceptive.the stylus that it comes with worked for about a month until the rubber tip no longer made contact properly with the screen. i use the stylus to take notes at school on my iPad on a daily basis for approximately 6-8 hours a day. i purchased the kensington after the one provided with the case stopped working properly, and that had lasted for about 4 months, i am in the market for a new stylus again.The stylus holder frayed within days of use, but has remained intact as of now. Both of the zipper tabs have been broken as shown in the pics attatched.

I Love so many things about this iPad case: the color is perfect (I love red); the fit is perfect; the ease of turn my iPad between horizontal & vertical is wonderful; having a place to store a small note pad, ID & cards is awesome; and I appreciate the stylis. I especially like being able to zip the case closed for added protection when I'm traveling. However, while the zipper tucks in deeply making it easy to lay flat it is also a little difficult to rezip at times. I forgot to mention the cool elastic on the back of the iPad part itself! When unsnapped from the case, this elastic band makes it SO incredibly easy to hold my iPad in my hand to use! This is my second roocase but certainly not my last!!!

I do so love the rooCases for my iPads. They hold up, they look nice ... they do what they're supposed to. With this one, I don't know if it's just mine or all of them, but it didn't quite fit my iPad on the left side. The edges of the iPad stick out past the casing, & the casing covers a little bit of the screen. I wish this wasn't the case, because otherwise, I love these cases.

I had one of these for my older iPad and loved it. So, when I got my new iPad I immediately ordered a new case. I am still getting used to the snap flap inside (the old one had just a Velcro strip) but I think this is a good new feature because of the ability to stand it up with or without the case.One thing I will say is that the leather pockets inside seem to be made of a cheaper material than my previous case but they are not horrible.All things considered I still recommend this case HIGHLY and cannot tell you how many people see it and want to know where I got it. It is sturdy, good looking and very, very functional.

I've owned a roo case before loved it . I love this one as well BUT, the reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of the smell. When I opened the box I immediately got hit in the face with the smell of cigarettes or something close. The case still smells after spraying it with Lysol. It's been sitting in the garage airing out for 3 days now and it still smells. Don't know what to do other than spray a couple more times and let it air out some more. Any suggestions Amazon? Would you like to replace this case at no charge??

I think this case is o.k., but I prefer the older model with the heavy Velcro on the back to hold the iPad. This one with the snap, flops around...don't like that, but it is functional enough, and I will get used to it. Also, it protects my iPads nicely. I like the zipper especially when I'm traveling...

Yes it smells a bit like cigarettes, just like other reviewers have said, but the smell goes away after a while. I like the idea zippered case to store the iPad in and will keep it just for that feature, but am not overly happy with the way the iPad is supposed to stand in the case. Once I unsnapped the iPad casing and took it out of the zippered folio it was tough to get it to snap back in. Velcro would have been better.

I like the quality of the product, just not the smell. After an extended period of time the "dirt" smell in the product has subsided considerable and it's fine. That said, it took a long time. It is a shame because this is a very well made product. We actually tried buying a second one hoping that it would resolve the issue, but the same smell persisted. Again, this is a great product but you'll need to persevere a while until the "dirt" smell subsides.

Case was promptly returned as unlike the title of the item stating 'genuine leather', the item is in fact PU fake leather.

Fell apart after a year.
