I built a wooden ladder for my daughter’s dorm bed and these hooks worked perfectly! They are made of a solid material that will not flex when attached securely with the included screws. Her ladder has a 20 degree angle and these hooks appear to be tailor-made for it. Also the depth of the top section of the hook was exactly right for the width of the metal bed frame where it sits. I did not even need to permanently attach the ladder to the frame because the fit of the hooks to the bed frame was so perfect. YMMV but I highly recommend these hooks if you are a careful builder. These should be plenty sturdy for a kid’s loft or bunk bed ladder.

Attached these to my new louisville, 7 ft aluminum, ladder that I will use to get up to our 6ft loft safely. I cut a 2x4 in half and screwed the 2 inch rails onto the outside edge. I bolted the hooks to the ladder using stainless steel bolts with lock nuts. The hooks fit perfect over the rails to secure the ladder at the right angle. Very safe and secured. Ladder is rated for 300 lbs.

These attaching hooks were just what we needed to attach our bunk bed ladder to. We did need to get our own nuts to secure it all together over all it has been a good product.

It worked perfect for replacing our old hooks on the bunk bed that were wearing out. I wish I would have bought them sooner! They are study and hold up better than the hooks that came with the bed. Easy installation.

I'm not sure what sheerness means, but they were easy to install and not very sturdy. The wooden ladder I constructed tilts at about a 60 degree angle. When my big boy climbs the ladder the hooks are starting to bend. Perhaps I should have put two on each side if they would fit. Maybe my construction was not planned well to distribute the weight to the legs instead of the hooks.

This claw is solidly built with a nice painted finish. CLAW IT ON offers two sizes of claw. The one i bought fit perfectly on a 2x4 or 2x6. The other one is slimmer. Make sure you check this measurement and get the right size.

Ordered as a replacement for a bunk bed ladder. The brackets are significantly more robust and sturdy then the pieces they are replacing. I don't expect to have to replace these any time soon. Only issue that was seen was that the screws do not mount flush with the ladder. The screws will scratch the wood with continued use.

Not safe for use with children. If used the angle required by the brace would put additional stress on the ladder. There is no hole in the upper portion of the brace for securing it to the ladder. There is a hole in the front of the brace that would make the ladder non removable. Also braces are NOT HEAVY DUTY. They will bend when pressure is put on them. IMPORTANT NOTE: This item is NOT RETURNABLE.
