Great for away from home
I am one of those people who does not like to use the fingerpad; I find it to be less specific than a mouse. This one is perfect to keep in my laptop case as it takes up practically no space and is so flat. Colors are fun, too, although I see that Amazon has a limited number of them available. Only drawback is you cannot replace a battery so when it dies (after using it about 5 hours a week for 4 years) you have to recycle it and get a new one. I would prefer to pay twice as much for an identical one with a replaceable battery, so that's why 4 stars instead of 5.
