PetTech PT0Z1 Premium Dog Training Shock Collar, Fully Waterproof, 1200ft Range (Blue)

I've been using this for about three weeks now. In the instruction booklet, it mentions that after the appropriate charging time, the battery life for the collar and transmitter runs about two weeks. Not true! I let both devices charge overnight, which was easily twice the number of recommended hours, and within four days the collar was already flashing red, which indicates the charge is low. My dog wears the collar throughout the day while we are awake and I take it off at night, but at this point she is trained and I haven't had to use even the beeping function. It's on her more or less for reinforcement. What the book should say is that the collar will stay charged for about five days while staying on consistently, not two weeks. I will also say that the company website and their customer service are lacking. I have been trying for a number of days to register the product for the lifetime guarantee and every time I press the submit button, their site goes down. I sent an email to their customer service a few days ago about the problem and still haven't heard back. I also called their customer service today about the two issues and the only answer the woman on the phone had for me was that the collar was like a cell phone and would run down after a few days. She said she would let someone know that the book was misleading, but I would be surprised if anything gets changed. I asked if I could register my product with her and her only response was that if I ever needed a replacement, I could contact their customer service with my Amazon order number. Personally, I would have liked to officially register the product and received a confirmation email, but it sounds like that's not how this company does things. Overall, the product itself is okay. The light feature to locate your dog is pretty pathetic, because unless your dog has its head lifted or turned the right way, there's no way to see the green light. The vibration and beeping feature work decently, though I wouldn't say they're 100% reliable. More or less, you get what you pay for. If I need a new collar in the future or someone asks for a recommendation, I doubt I would choose PetTech again.

Rated 3 vs 5 because of how long this product worked (2 months).This product was pretty good for the first 2 months. Vibrate, shock and sound are all decent features. The light is useless IMO, but that’s not why I bought it. Our lab was 60lbs 6-8 months at the time and he responded well to the vibrate feature at a level of 60-70. Only used the shock feature a few times. First few I didn’t have it turned up enough and I didn’t take the rubber caps off the prongs. The one and only “effective” use, I had removed the caps and turned the shock up to about 20. That got a response and temporarily changed his behavior for a day. It’s worth noting that if your dog has high energy/excitement, that you may need to use higher levels to get their attention while in the moment. I.e., our dog was chasing our cat and he was oblivious to the vibrations from the collar so I turned it up.Contacted PetTech for a replacement - waiting for their reply.

Love that it has a wide range of vibration and shock settings along with a light up display for the settings. I tested it on myself before putting on my dog to make sure that I wasn't going to hurt him with the shock setting or set the vibration more than needed. My pit responds very well to the vibration.I had a problem with the display on the controller. The company stood behind the product and replaced it free of charge. The lifetime warranty is invaluable.The only negative I would have is that there are not seperate buttons for the functions, just a single mode button to change modes.I recommend this product.

The device performs as advertised and my dog responds well to the buzzer/vibrator mode. I liked the fact that a nylon type collar was provided. What causes the loss of a star is the mode select button being in the middle and the action button being on the side. If the device is needed quickly it is too easy to accidentally change the mode instead of performing the action. With it on vibrate this would put it into the shock mode, not good. I find that I have to look at the transmitter before I press a button to be sure I get the right one. In addition I found that sometimes upon pulling the device out of my pocket the vibration level has changed to 000. It is too easy to accidentally change the level. Taking care to press the right buttons, this is a good purchase. It allows my pup to have some freedom than he would not otherwise have.

I bought 4 of these for my dogs and they worked wonders. I have 3 Australian Cattle dogs and a Chihuahua. One of my Cattle dogs is Cooper. He is very aggressive and has been since we got him at 8 weeks old. We couldn't even put a collar on him. We got the PetTech Shcok Collar and used oven mitts to get it on him. He is like a different dog today. We didn't even have to use the shock setting. He is being trained solely on the vibration mode! We couldn't be happier with our purchase!!

This product information states that you can operate a second collar with the same remote. It does have the capability, but a second collar has been impossible to find. I even tried the manufacturer, but they state that it's out of stock. Well, it's still out of stock, and it's been over five months since I first inquired. I purchased this product with the understanding that a second collar would be available for my other dog. This has left a very bad taste in my mouth. They want me to purchase another collar/remote complete system for my 2nd dog. Bad business if you ask me, on the verge of false advertising. Other than that, great product if you only have one dog.

Did not come with all included parts. Amazon customer support can't seem to help or understand English very well to process a return via phone. I am understanding that Amazon sells millions of items, but please understand that noone is perfect and things get boxed incorrectly.Booklet states item comes with 2 sets of probes. Small probes and a set of large probes. Large probes for longer haired dogs. I received two sets of small. No large and no help from Amazon.
