These work fantastically in the snow and ice.

This review is with respect to the previous generation, the Pytho3.With sparing use over the past 2 years, my 'bugs have accumulated a total of 66 miles of winter trail running, typically on ice, ice flows, packed snow or crunch, with some rocks in between.The shoes are a marvel of control and traction, and overall, I happy with their performance. The construction is solid, the upper has held up well. The midsole and sole show no signs of wear.My main complaint is that the studs disappear. In just a handful of runs, the shoes have lost a total 10 of 34 studs. Perhaps there are replacement studs that can be bought somewhere, but I can't find them and my efforts over the years to reach customer service have gone unanswered.Out-of-the box performance is 5-stars, but with the loss of studs come loss of traction, so de-rating accordingly.

Love these shoes for icy winter walks, shoveling and anywhere I might fall. They work for short stops in grocery stores and other indoor spaces, but aren’t recommended for general indoor use. If the studs eventually fall out, the company replaces them for free.“We send out replacement studs free of charge and have a simple and successful method of attaching them. These are excellent for winter running and hiking. Great grip, feels safe when running on ice and snow.
