Very easy to install. I screwed a piece of 1x4 oak to the studs and then mounted the rail on the backer.Two things I wish I had known/done beforehand:1) The doors need to have a 1/4" dado cut in the bottom of them so they can slide on the floor channel that comes with the kit. This prevents the door from swinging forward away from the wall and falling off the track. Not an issue to do after the installation, but it would've been nice to realize it before finishing the doors. My fault though, it is in the instructions to do so.2) I wish I had predrilled the holes in the oak backer before I mounted it to the wall. Would've saved some stress.One tip, when installing the rollers on the doors, instead of measuring for the holes, stand the door up on a piece of 1x stock and put the roller on the bar. Center the roller on the door stile and drill the holes (3/8" bit, it says 10mm) while the door is standing up. You'll end up with a 3/4 gap under the door and perfectly placed holes.

I cannot say enough good things about this seller or their product. I needed my rail cut down by 2". They worked with me directly and cut the piece prior to shipment and it arrived exactly as promised. I was a bit skeptical because I saw some negative reviews saying their rod arrived and not the hardware. Mine was shipped in two installments so my hardware arrived in it's own shipment with NO problems. The rod was cut and sent separately. They responded to all my email inquiries promptly and went above and beyond in making sure we were satisfied with the order. I highly recommend them. The installed product is beautiful and functioning perfectly!

I had some problems with the door track but so far customer service has been very responsive. I am disappointed yet pleased at the same time.I bought a 16 ft track. It comes in 3 sections with 2 brackets to secure them to each other to make the one long track. I assembled the track as directed. (The directions included as simple enough and contain illustrations.) I was carefully moving the track and had barely moved it a foot when one of the brackets snapped.I needed to hang the doors ASAP. I headed to Lowe’s to try to find a replacement bracket. I found something I could make do for the time being. I installed it and while 3 of us were moving the track a second time to install it the other bracket snapped. They both snapped in the middle like they were made out of plastic.I used a second makeshift bracket after ANOTHER trip to Lowe’s. I had to get the doors hung. It was imperative I do it that day as it was Labor Day weekend and I had the help. (The doors are large and I couldn’t hang them by myself. I had done everything else to date alone.) We were able to get the track installed with the makeshift brackets but the door doesn’t function properly. It snags at the brackets.I reached out to Amazon and within 2 hours the seller had contacted me. I have requested new brackets be sent as I have no need for the rest of the assembly. I have asked that they send them ASAP. So far, they have been extremely helpful.I will update the post to reflect the amount of time it takes to receive the extra brackets from the seller. Hopefully, it’s very quickly as I have doors I can barely use.****When buying the extended length track, be careful with the brackets. They snap like twigs. The Product Customer Service stated that this has never happened before.****Update ****Customer Service was very quick to respond to me. I attached photos to my correspondence with them and they immediately offered to correct it by sending me two replacement brackets and the one extra bracket I asked for just in case. It did take about a week to get them to me as they sent them USPS but none the less they were more than helpful.I would buy the door tracks again but I would just be very careful.***** Second Update *****Their Customer Service reached out to me about this review. They offered me $50 bucks to take it down. I didn’t feel comfortable doing that as my review has been honest. I love the track but 2 important parts snapped like twigs. They were quick to respond and replace the parts. I wish they would have sent the replacements overnight or priority instead of USPS but nevertheless, they were quick to respond and did apologize and replace them.I thought it was important to add this to the review. It was hard to walk away from $50 bucks but I feel it was the ethical thing to do. I would buy the track again. I would just be more prepared and would have hung it with a different method.

Love the product and the price was great however the instructions weren't entirely clear and it seems as though some of the measurements provided were't accurate. I used this for a set of "country shutters" for a bedroom. They are very heavy duty and I have no doubt they will last forever. The wife loves them so that is all that matters!

We just got the track up and everything is great except one of the door stoppers is crossthreaded. We just need the replacement piece sent. There was no where to report this since it's 30 days past the purchase. It only gave me the option for a review. Thanks!Update: company sent a new door stopper, thank you so much! 5 star product!

I received my double barn door hardware quickly, but didn't have anyone to help me install them. So, I stored my hardware for 2 months, and's started installing them last weekend. We found we were missing the bolts to hang the 2nd barn door. I sent them a message through their Amazon store, got no message back, BUT received the 4 bolts I needed in the mail TODAY! I appreciate their excellent customer service! Thank you! I will be buying 10 foot barn door hardware from them soon!

My father in law ordered these to build sliding barn doors for the inside of his garage and they came out great. He was very happy with these parts.

Very Dissatisfied with NO REPONSE to my two email requests asking for a longer rail. The rail they say fits for the door size is too small in that it doesn't allow the door to fully open. I sent 2 email requests asking for another rail of a foot bigger, and that I could send back the existing rail for the exchange and the Seller has not bothered address the issue. It appears that the rail can have a larger piece added or perhaps a piece of rail was not supplied because of the size. No matter: it's just too short for the advertised door size. Jeeze, I'd even buy the larger rail. As for the product itself, it is of excellent quality. Just don't expect any customer service. Oh, and the screws as mentioned previously needed extra washers to allow to tighten.

Excellent quality hardware kit. Installation instructions are pretty decent for anyone that is a little bit handy. The single 1 piece track makes this very stable and easy to install.The only complaint I have, is the bolts used to mount the hangers to the door, are too long for a 1 3/8” door, which the specifications say the kit will work for. Yes, it does, but, you will have to cut the length of the bolts shorter for this to work. Cutting bolts and preserving the threads may be tricky for some people without the proper tools. Fortunately, I have everything I needed.They could supply some shorter bolts, or maybe some spacers for the back side, which might make it work without cutting the bolts. however, a person would have to check for interference on any trim around the door opening. Perhaps the spacer could go on the front side without looking horrible as well.*note, the door handle in this picture, is not included in the kit, this was a separate purchase.

The hardware arrived in 3 days and was packed sturdy. I opened all the packages and all the items were there. Other manufacturers sometime miss items. Ouch! The installation outline was ok but could be a little more comprehensive regarding the measurements. A 1st time DIYer might have some problems, but I overcame the little issues by buying additional washers for spacers and marking off the drill holes with masking tape before drilling in the wall. Very good product, well packaged and delivered on time. I wanted to mount a door to access the space under the pool deck. That's what I choose to mount the door. Sturdy, not too hard to install and very tough. It's rolling like the first day I installed it. It passed a whole year, including a cold winter. BTW, this product is not supposed to be installed outside. So, I very impressed! 5 stars

Was unable to find this track size locally in any store so back to old reliable - amazon. Finish is great, everything is very sturdy. rolls extremely smooth with a 42x84" door. instructions were great with clear measurements and diagrams, everything installed bang on. Super happy to have our barn door up finally being an odd size.
