Won't light a fire as fast as a road flare but it's a heck of a lot easier to carry.
Magnesium strip could be glued on better. It Came off.The system is inexpensive, small, light. I put one in a small kit in my truck console. I put one in my toolbox and since I made more than one purchase I had an extra for my winter coat & survival pack

Sparks as expected

Flint rod fell off.
The flint rod of one fell off during shipping and the other fell off after the first use. Don’t waste your money.

Arrived broken
On both the spark rod had fallen off the magnesium block rendering both useless. Looks like these are VERY POORLY made—DO NOT PURCHASE!
